On March 23, the Carousel of Happiness had a day of free rides in memory of Tom and Glenna Carline.

The carousel animals proudly gave hundreds of rides to people of all ages. There were many locals who did not delay joy, as well as those who drove up the mountain to take a spin and feel the carousel exhilaration.

In the first three hours approximately 300 tickets were handed out, according to Pat Hagberg, who was greeting the guests. She stated that the Carousel received many donations from happy visitors. She added, with a smile, “It is a good day for the Carousel!”

Glenna and Tom Carline made their home north of Nederland in the 1970s. They were business people in the Nederland area for 40 years. They also volunteered their time to many causes in the community.

Their contributions have left a lasting legacy on Nederland and its history.

When riding the Carousel of Happiness one cannot help but smile. It is just the kind of place it is. There were many, many smiles on March 23 at the Carousel thanks to Glenna and Tom Carline.
