The Timberline Fire Protection District and Firefighter Foundation manned a pit-stop for the Hogback Distillery Twister Challenge Rally Ride on July 29 at Station 5 along Highway 119. Hogback Distillery located in Boulder, sponsors an annual motorcycle rally ride through the Front Range canyons. Hogback claims the ride spanning 350 miles, cutting through the Dakota Hogback Ridge between Fort Collins and Evergreen, has more twists than a pit full of snakes. This year the ride attracted over 400 riders from across the Front Range.
Volunteers from The Timberline Volunteer Firefighter Foundation manned a pit-stop for the rally at Fire Station 5 on Highway 119. They provided water and restrooms for the riders and friendly conversation. They also received donations from the riders for the foundation. The mission of the foundation is to support and invest in the Timberline Firefighter Family, to enhance their well-being, and honor their service to the community.
Timberline also had on display their brand-new Ford 550 fire truck that had just arrived from Texas. The new truck, with about 1,100 miles on the odometer, will be incorporated into their fleet of vehicles for responding to structure and wildfires.
