On Sunday, November 17, from 12-3 p.m., the Nederland Thanksgiving Potluck returns again! This long standing tradition in our community has taken place for over 30 years, and we are so excited to add another year to the books. This amazing event, held at the Nederland Community Center, is completely run by volunteers and supplied by donations from the community. It truly brings together all the pieces of the greater Nederland area to create a gathering and a feast for all.

Through these donations (thank you!), the dinner is able to provide turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies, stuffing, and gravy for all that attend. However, the true magic happens through the potluck table. Here, community members highlight their favorite side dishes, traditions, and desserts for all to share. What else could possibly make this better?

How about we throw in some live local music, arts and crafts, and a raffle? Now that sounds amazing! Also, this event strives to be zero waste- so BYO dishes to use and take back home again.

We LOVE our volunteers! There are so many ways you can contribute. Cook a turkey, set up the community center, help in the kitchen, serve the delicious food, bring a dish to share, tidy up the dining room, and so much more. Help is needed on both 11/16 and 11/17, choose an option that works best for you! Bring your friends, your family, or get your organization involved- all are welcome.

The Nederland Community Thanksgiving is for the community, by the community. Come share food, listen to music, laugh with friends, and experience the true nature of our small town.
