Dear Editor,
The Gilpin County Democrats held their Annual Picnic on September 29, and it was a terrific event! Many gratuities need mentioning. First of all, thank you to Jeff and Susan Green at Very Nice Brewing Company for allowing us to hold our event at your Very Nice Taproom. Being the non-partisan business owners they are, there was also an event there the week before. Thanks to you both for supporting the entire community! You are so appreciated here!
We also want to thank The Los Burros Band for their incredible music that kept us tapping and dancing throughout the entire picnic. These guys are so fun and talented! If you haven’t seen them, yet, look for them to perform.
We especially want to thank all the people, families, friends, canines, and our neighbors - whether they be Democrats, Republicans, Unaffiliated, or unregistered, for showing up. It was just a beautiful day to hang out and enjoy each other in majestic autumn surroundings. There is just nothing better than hanging out with your community on a fall day, eating food and listening to music.
Finally, I want to thank Eric Douglas, Chair of the Gilpin County Democrats, Won Cho, Treasurer, as well as the Gilpin County Central Committee for letting this happen like it did.
We hope to see y’all again next year.
Don’t forget to vote!!!
With Unending Gratitude,
Celia Wilson
Secretary, Gilpin County Democrats
