Some words for the week

Some words for the week
maybe they’ll find my poems
either today
or when I’m dead
or maybe never
maybe all this is for the void
for god
for myself
for you
for nothing
maybe they’ll find this one
and they’ll like it
maybe maybe maybe
what’s sure is that right now
I’m stopped in a line of cars
the road is being fixed
and my windows are down
I driven this route
since I could first drive
probably thousands of times
but I’ve never paused right here
there are small yellow birds
singing into the traffic
and is that water I hear?
I guess between the willows
there runs a creek
I never knew existed
I wonder what else I don’t
know
so much
