Some words for the week
fresh snow come first light
on the treeless peaks
on the hood of my truck
on the green grass of the yard
frozen into ice slicks
on the shaded sections
of the mountain highway
all melt into the dirt
come ten in the morning
all melt into faucet water
sprinkler systems
car washes
hoses fountains lawns
all that falls above
and lingers glinting
in the dawn rays
wanes and is wasted
in the plains by night
