Peak Perspectives: Pride in hard work

Posted

Another whirlwind week at The Mountain-Ear. We have a lot in the works, but first, today we pick up the November 16 edition and our Holiday Gift Guide. Both will be on stands today. We’re meeting to plan our Special Sections for all of 2024. Every month there will be a special section (pullout or stand alone) that will complement what we do at The Mountain-Ear. Special Sections this year included Taste of the Peaks (twice), Peak to Peak Studio Tour, and the Holiday Gift Guide.

And, I almost forgot to remind everyone about our “52 in 24.” Next year there will be a designated spot for one FREE event ad, every week. The events must be in the Peak to Peak region. The application period to be considered for that spot will open on December 1, for the first half of 2023. Interested in more information? Email info@themountainear.com to be added to the list for follow-up.

Next week I’ll introduce you to some of our new staff. We have a new designer, a few amazing people who work the front desk, and a few interns you haven’t met yet.

Don’t forget to check out all of our event calendars, from local library events to community events, to government meetings, self-help meetings, music of the entire Peak to Peak, senior luncheons, what’s happening at our local Rec centers and more!

You’ll notice we have expanded our calendar listings throughout the paper. We’ve always had the only print and online music listing that covers the Peak to Peak. Now, you’ll be able to find more local events, government meetings, self-help meetings, and more. Stick with us, we’ll let you know everywhere you need to be and what you’ll want to see. And it’s also all online on our online calendar here: https:// www.themtnear.com/events/. Submit your event here: https:// www.themtnear.com/eventssubmission/.
