Sundragon has been DJing under this moniker as a side gig for the last 15 years. Currently, his primary area of work is massage and bodywork, which he has been doing for over 20 years. As early as four or five years old, however, he has been connected to music in some way, remembering times in elementary school and junior high when he would dance in his room to music. Sundragon says that dancing is often the most direct way that he can access a good feeling through music.

He went to college on the East Coast through an Air Force ROTC scholarship but felt conflicted about studying aerospace engineering. He says that he had the aptitude, but not necessarily the passion for it. However, he stuck it out, and after he graduated, he spent four years as an officer, during which he did a lot of soul-searching to figure out what his true passion was. After four years, he moved to Colorado Springs to be with family, and after calling a radio station several times, he was encouraged to apply for a volunteer DJ spot.

When a spot opened up, he was able to get his own volunteer radio program before moving to Denver. Realizing that the radio station often lifted his mood, he wanted to find a way to incorporate music into his life’s work, so he bought his own equipment and started DJing for friends. Eventually, he started connecting with other community members through DJing, and before he knew it, he got caught up in making it a side gig.

Sundragon loves having a direct impact on people’s experiences with music through his live gigs, and he hopes in some way that he can move people, whether that be through dancing or through an emotional experience.
