Dear Editor,
I came to Colorado in September 1951 to go to university of Colorado and never really left.
The Carousel of Happiness: It was chosen by my children to celebrate my 92nd birthday this past Sunday, November 10.
Nederland has always been in my orbit from the beginning. And I’m so surprised that more people are not aware of this part of Colorado’s history.
Kudos to the veteran, who thought of the idea of a carousel and carried out his dream to reality!
Because my November birthday has usually been snowy (yes, even in Iowa), I especially have enjoyed celebrating my birthday in these later days in Boulder County.
Thanks to the Nederland community for supporting this hidden gem.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Ann Pepmeyer
