The new Hi Heat & Sweets store in a stretch of renovated buildings on Gregory Street in Black Hawk across from JKQ Barbecue is preparing to open on June 29, 2023, with a Grand Opening on July 6. Terri and Eddie Miller own the store with Lil Rutledge as manager.
Hi Heat & Sweets will feature a wide variety of hot sauce, candy, chocolate and unique sodas. Terri said to come in for 15 percent off the first purchase.
According to the website, Hi-Heat & Sweets aims to create a fun, old-fashioned atmosphere where families and friends, visitors and locals alike can linger and purchase an assortment of sweets, gourmet sauces, salsas and seltzers.
“Our vision is to Create Happiness in our guests’ lives and recreate the days of yesteryear, in a vintage setting reminiscent of the old west. We will have barrels of bulk candy as well as modern candy and candies you remember from your childhood.
“Also try one of our unique bottles of soda from our coolers. We will have bottles of hot sauces, wing sauces, steak sauces and salsa.”
