Happy wags and pants with a new do

Meet Ashley Hassmer, sole owner and only employee of Dog BOOtique based out of Coal Creek Canyon. Hassmer started her mobile dog business on March 30, 2022.

Hassmer worked for Petco, but felt she was only helping groom the “perfectly behaved dogs.” So, it became the motivation for opening a mobile grooming business, allowing her to help all pets of all temperaments and behaviors.

“Some pets just need one-on-one time to get better with the grooming process, and that’s what I give them. It is my passion to be around all animals, big or small, and to help and teach the pets…some places cannot,” shares Hassmer.

With a background in grooming and dog training, all she needed was an LLC business, insurance, and proper certifications, and off she went. Cats, dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs, and more can receive grooming services from Dog BOOtique.

Hassmer also shares, “I do the anxious pet, the rambunctious pet, the pet that most salons can’t handle because I make sure to have one-on-one time to get to know their specific needs.” With Dog BOOtique, your pet receives individualized services from a bath to a haircut to creative grooming and hair dye.

Dog BOOtique is a mobile business, meaning all you have to do is schedule your appointment, and Hassmer comes to you with water, power, and anything else she may need. All she needs from you is your pet.

Not only does Hassmer groom any and all pets, but all services are done at a flat rate. There are no add-ons or hidden fees. “Anything you want and need, just request it, and it’s done,” according to Hassmer.

The hair dye and creative grooming have set Dog BOOtique apart from other grooming businesses. Hassmer’s mobile grooming services are available for residents of Coal Creek Canyon and communities within 30 minutes.

“My favorite part is seeing the owners light up and be happy about their new clean, cute pup. And that I can help them after they weren’t allowed to go to a different salon due to temperament. Also, of course, the cute animals I work with.”

Hassmer keeps her mobile office cleaned and sanitized and only serves one client at a time to maintain safety and health protocols. Her dream is to open a grooming location with a retail store and a bakery, which will have a Halloween Dog BOOtique, “A Scary Good Groom” theme.
