On 9/2/23, at approximately 12:04 a.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Lawrence Street for the report of domestic violence. A male party was arrested and processed into the Gilpin County Detentions Facility.
On 9/2/23, at approximately 5:42 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a disturbance located in Gilpin County. A report was completed.
On 9/2/23, at approximately 7:45 p.m., a deputy was performing their assigned duties at the Gilpin County Detentions Center. At that time, they were helping a fellow deputy book a new male party arrest when they discovered an out of state warrant for the male party under an alias name. They contacted the Gilpin County Communications Center to get confirmation on the aforementioned discovered warrant. A short time later the warrant was confirmed and the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office was advised that it is extraditable from Colorado as it was a nationwide extradition with a no bond hold. At approximately 8:55 p.m. the male party was arrested on this warrant and a subsequent second booking was complete without incident.
On 9/3/23, at approximately 9:30 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy responded to a welfare check of animals in Golden and transported several dogs to Jefferson County Foothills Animal Shelter at 580 McIntyre Street.
On 9/3/23, at approximately 10:43 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries located in the vicinity of the intersection of Lump Gulch Road and Gilpin Road. A report was taken.
On 9/5/23, at approximately 6:11 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 5312 block of Highway 119 in reference to a burglary. A report was completed later.
On 9/6/23, at approximately 2:15 a.m., an individual turned themself into the Gilpin County Jail on a Gilpin outstanding warrant.
On 9/6/23, at approximately 2:20 p.m., deputies responded to a civil dispute in unincorporated Gilpin County and arrested a party with a felony warrant.
On 9/7/23, at approximately 8:33 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the lobby of the Sheriff`s Office at 2960 Dory Hill Rd in reference to a possible fraud.
On 9/7/23, at approximately 11:17 a.m., deputies were dispatched to take a phone call in reference to a civil issue. A report was completed.
On 9/7/23, at approximately 2:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 2960 Dory Hill Road in reference to a found property.
On 9/7/23, a deputy took a report of several missing chromebooks from the Gilpin County School.
On 9/7/23, at approximately 1:37 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to 103 Eureka Street in reference to a found property.
On 9/8/23, at approximately 2:15 p.m., a deputy took a report of Trespassing at the Century Casino at 102 Main Street and assisted a male intoxicated party with acquiring a hotel room at another hotel for the night.
On 9/9/23, at approximately 7 a.m., a deputy arrested a female party on a DUI at the 100 block of Norton Drive.
On 9/10/23, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a deputy took an informational report of a cold dog boarding incident in Golden.
On 9/10/23, at approximately 3 p.m., a deputy took a cold report of criminal mischief in Black Hawk.
On 9/11/23, at approximately 10:39 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to 2960 Dory Hill Road in reference to a male party who wanted to report an alleged cold burglary. A report was completed later.
On 9/13/23, a juvenile reported as a runaway was found safe.
On 9/13/23, at approximately 8:20 a.m., an individual was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on an outstanding warrant.
On 9/13/23, at approximately 10:06 a.m., deputies were dispatched to unincorporated Gilpin County, in reference to a disturbance, and a report was taken.
On 9/14/23, at approximately 9:50 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Black Hawk in reference to a dog issue. A report was taken.
On 9/14/23, at approximately 11:16 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Famous Bonanza Casino located at 109 Main Street on a report of a theft. A report was completed.
On 9/16/23, at approximately 8:50 a.m., a deputy took a report for an animal complaint in Black Hawk.
On 9/16/23, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a deputy took a report of a civil issue in Black Hawk.
On 9/16/23, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office lobby on a civil issue. A report was taken.
On 9/17/23, at approximately 11:02 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Coyote Motel at 5312 Highway 119 in reference to a cold disturbance.
On 9/17/23, at approximately 6:38 a.m., a deputy responded to assist Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop located at mile marker 262 on Highway 6. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for a DUI.
On 9/17/23, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy performed a welfare check of a child who fell and hit her head in the 100 block of Main Street, Central City.
On 9/17/23, at approximately 6:21 p.m., a deputy responded to a casino located in the 100 block of Main Street, Central City, on the report of a counterfeit $50 bill. The bill was seized, logged into evidence and a report was completed.
On 9/17/23, at approximately 10:44 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop. A fictitious plate was found and a summons was issued.
On 9/18/23, a deputy stopped a vehicle for reckless driving. A summons was issued to the driver.
On 9/18/23, at approximately 6 p.m., a male party turned himself into the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office for an active warrant. A report was taken.
On 9/20/23, at approximately 5:31 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to take a phone call from a reporting party who resides in Black Hawk in reference to a civil issue. A report was completed later.
On 9/20/23, at approximately 9:40 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a call in reference to a dog issue. A report was taken.
On 9/20/23, at approximately 10:58 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an alleged harassment. A report was completed later.
On 9/20/23, at approximately 9:40 a.m., deputies were dispatched in Gilpin County in reference to a cold burglary, which turned out to be an animal call. A report was taken.
On 9/20/23, at approximately 10:10 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Black Hawk for a disturbance. A report was completed.
On 9/21/23, at approximately 5:44 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Rollinsville on a report of a theft.
On 9/22/23, a deputy completed a certified VIN inspection for a resident.
On 9/22/23, at approximately 12:44 p.m., it was discovered that an inmate housed at the Gilpin County Jail had active warrants and a report was taken.
On 9/22/23, at approximately 4 p.m., a deputy took a report of fraudulent transactions for fuel at 2960 Dory Hill Road.
On 9/23/23, at approximately 4:57 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Century Casino on the report of a phone theft. A report was taken.
On 9/23/23, at approximately 1:05 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a call on the report of a dog at large. A summons was issued to the dog owner.
On 9/24/23, at approximately 5:10 p.m., a deputy returned a call from a citizen reporting that a neighbor may have been involved in a hit-and-run accident in another jurisdiction. A report was completed and the other jurisdiction was provided with the information.
On 9/24/23, at approximately 7:13 p.m., a deputy took a phone call about a runaway juvenile. The deputy gathered information and made a report.
On 9/25/23, at approximately 11:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched in reference to a camping violation and a report was taken.
On 9/25/23, at approximately 8:36 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 1351 Highway 119.
On 9/26/23, at approximately 8:18 p.m., a deputy was dispatched on a report of someone recording from their property. A report was completed.
On 9/27/23, at approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies responded to a call in reference to a civil matter and a report was completed.
On 9/27/23, a deputy was dispatched to the Grand Z Hotel to collect suspected drugs that had been left inside one of the hotel rooms after check-out. The substance was collected and later tested presumptive positive for a Schedule I controlled substance. Suspects have been identified and charges are pending.
On 9/28/23, at approximately 4 p.m., a male party showed up to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office lobby to turn himself in on a warrant. An officer made contact with the male party and would later arrest him on several arrest warrants. The male party was arrested and booked in without incident.
On 9/28/23, at approximately 5:44 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Black Hawk on a report of a civil/violation of protection order. The officer was further advised that the reporting party wanted to be contacted by phone. Later, other parties wanted to be contacted by phone. A report was completed.
On 9/28/23, at approximately 7:25 p.m., a Gilpin County officer was booking in an inmate that was transferred to the jail on a transport when it was discovered after running this inmate's history that there was an active warrant with a personal recognizance bond for another county. The inmate was advised of this warrant, booked in and bonded for this warrant. The inmate was booked in without incident.
On 9/28/23, at approximately 10:32 p.m., deputies responded to the report of strange lights in the woods. Deputies arrived and did a brief investigation. A report was taken.
On 9/29/23, at approximately 1:05 a.m, a deputy responded to a report of sexual assault that had occurred. A male party was later located and arrested.
On 9/29/23, at approximately 11:16 a.m., a deputy conducted a death investigation in Rollinsville.
On 9/29/23, at approximately 3:33 p.m., a deputy took a report of fraud in Golden.
On 9/30/23, at approximately 9:48 a.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was arrested and processed on the warrant.
On 9/30/23, at approximately 6:38 p.m., a deputy responded to Central City on the report of a disturbance. Dispatch advised that a resident deployed pepper spray against another resident. Investigation disclosed that the act was in self-defense.
