On 8/1/23, at approximately 10:41 a.m., a deputy took a report of a harassment that occurred near Old Hughesville Road. Case is pending further investigation.
On 8/1/23, a deputy took a fraud report.
On 8/1/23, at approximately 11:48 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 5.5 on the Central City Parkway. After an investigation a party was taken into custody for DUI.
On 8/2/23, at approximately 12:35 a.m., a deputy working at the Gilpin County Jail arrested a male subject, who turned himself in on a warrant and a report was taken.
On 8/2/23, at approximately 11:56 a.m., deputies were dispatched to 149 Gregory St in reference to a disturbance and a report was taken.
On 8/2/23, at approximately 2:06 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 107 Main Street in reference to a stolen motorcycle. A stolen motorcycle was recovered and a male party was arrested and a report was completed.
On 8/2/23, at approximately 3:08 p.m., an information report was taken pertaining to missing license plates.
On 8/2/23, at approximately 6:44 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office on a report of a sexual assault. A report was completed.
On 8/3/23, at approximately 2:46 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 6 on Highway 119. A citation was issued.
On 8/3/23, at approximately 12:52 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to 554 Old Hughesville Road. in reference to a traffic complaint. A report was completed later.
On 8/4/23, at approximately 8:10 a.m., deputies were advised of a crime that previously occurred in Clear Creek County. A report was taken and this case was forwarded to the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division.
On 8/4/23, at approximately 11:05 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in progress at the 300 block of Atlantis Drive. A male party was placed on mental health hold.
On 8/4/23, at approximately 2:05 p.m., a deputy took a report of trespassing at 227 Nevadaville Road, the Masonic Cemetery.
On 8/4/23, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a deputy assisted State Patrol with a motor vehicle crash at Wolf Road and Coyote Circle.
On 8/5/23, at approximately 6:39 a.m., a deputy and Black Hawk officers were dispatched to mile marker 4 on Highway 119 on a welfare check. A menacing report was taken. This case is under investigation.
On 8/5/23, it was discovered that a person already in custody, at the Gilpin County Jail, had three additional felony warrants that were recently issued by other jurisdictions. This individual was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on these warrants.
On 8/6/23, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a deputy responded to the 3500 block of Highway 119 for the report of a dead dog. There are no suspects and a report was made.
On 8/7/23, at approximately 6:35 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of a trespass located in the 10 block of Rudolph Ranch Road. A report was taken.
On 8/7/23, at approximately 8:42 p.m., a deputy handled a fraud report that had occurred at the Coyote Liquor Store. A report was made.
On 8/7/23, at approximately 9:37 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a disturbance located in the 300 block of Atlantis Drive. A report was taken.
On 8/8/23, a party found property on the roadway and turned it into the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office.
On 8/8/23, at approximately 10:27 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to 1319 Columbine Campground Road in reference to alleged criminal mischief. A report was completed later.
On 8/8/23, a deputy responded to a criminal mischief call in Central City. There is no suspect information.
On 8/8/23, a REDDI report was called into the sheriff’s office. The vehicle was located at the owner's residence. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI. A report was made.
On 8/9/23, a deputy responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was found to be stolen. The vehicle was towed and the owner was notified.
On 8/10/23, a deputy took a report from a homeowner who stated a prior homeowner may have removed property from the home.
On 8/10/23, at approximately 11:10 a.m., a deputy took a report of fraud that was estimated to have occurred between March 2023 and 8/3/23. There are no suspects at this time.
On 8/11/23, at approximately 7:41 a.m., an active warrant was discovered for a person in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was arrested and processed on the warrant.
On 8/11/23, at approximately 12:22 p.m., a deputy was completing a booking on an inmate in the Gilpin County Detention Facility and discovered a warrant issued by the Denver County Sheriff’s Office and a report was taken.
On 8/11/23, at approximately 4:48 p.m., a spent cartridge was located in the lobby of the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office. The cartridge was collected and a report was completed.
On 8/11/23, at approximately 8:40 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of a dog issue at Kelly Dahl Campground. A report was taken.
On 8/12/23, at approximately 7:16 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Kelly Dahl Campground on the report of two missing juveniles. The juveniles were later located and reunited with their parents. There was no criminal activity.
On 8/13/23, at approximately 1:15 p.m., an investigator took a phone report of a fraud event.
On 8/13/23, at approximately 4:42 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy took a report of a dog bite, at the intersection of Meadow Lake Drive and Kirkwood Drive.
On 8/13/23, at approximately 5:02 p.m., a deputy responded to a disturbance involving occupants of a vehicle in the 600 block of Highway 46. The vehicle fled prior to deputies arrival; however, the vehicle was eventually stopped in the 4400 block of Highway 46. The disturbance was found to be non-criminal, however one of the participants was found to have a warrant. She was taken to the Gilpin County Jail without incident.
On 8/13/23, at approximately 11:54 p.m., deputies responded to conduct a welfare check in the area of mile marker 10.5 on Highway 119. A report was taken.
On 8/15/23, a deputy took a report of a possible civil dispute. There is no further information available.
On 8/15/23, at approximately 8:26 p.m., deputies responded to the 4800 block of Tolland Road for a shooting complaint. A report was made.
On 8/16/23, a deputy completed a certified VIN inspection for a resident.
On 8/16/23, at approximately 9:15 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the lobby of the sheriff’s office in reference to a possible fraud.
On 8/16/23, at approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 449 North County Road. in reference to a grass fire and a report was taken.
On 8/17/23, at approximately 1:12 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 661 block of Highway 46, in reference to a found property and a report was taken.
On 8/18/23, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a deputy observed a vehicle speeding around mile marker 266 on Highway 6. The deputy assisted Colorado State Patrol during a traffic stop of the vehicle around mile marker 6 Highway 119. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI.
On 8/19/23, at approximately 9:10 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a truck with no registration. It was discovered the vehicle was not registered, nor was there insurance. The driver also violated the restrictions on his driver's license and was in possession of alcohol when it was prohibited. A summons was issued.
On 8/19/23, at approximately 11:08 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of a suspicious incident at the Gold Mountain Village Apartments. A report was taken.
On 8/20/23, a deputy responded to a report of a vehicle trespass in the Grand Z parking garage. The deputy is currently working some leads to track down the suspect.
On 8/20/23, at approximately 2:59 p.m., a deputy investigated a death at mile marker 20.8 on Highway 119.
On 8/21/23, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a deputy took a report of criminal mischief/vandalism at the 700 block of Muskrat Road.
On 8/21/23, at approximately 10:48 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a disturbance in progress at 57 Tolland Road where a male party was placed on a M-1 Hold.
On 8/21/23, a deputy responded to a report of a trespass in the 300 block of Lawrence Street. Upon arrival, the suspect had already left the scene and wasn't able to be located.
On 8/22/23, at approximately 10:47 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to 554 Old Hughesville Road. in reference to an alleged violation of a protection order. A report was completed later.
On 8/22/23, a party wanted to report that he found property from a previous tenant that he felt was compromised information. A report was made.
On 8/23/23, at approximately 9:07 a.m., deputies were dispatched to 554 Old Hughesville Road. in reference to a noise complaint and a report was taken.
On 8/23/23, at approximately 11:30 a.m., an in-custody party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on an outstanding warrant.
On 8/23/23, at approximately 3:48 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 2960 Dory Hill Road. in reference to a harassment complaint and a report was completed.
On 8/25/23, at approximately 12:35 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 10.5 on Highway 119. After an investigation the driver was arrested for DUI.
On 8/25/23, at approximately 12:52 p.m., a deputy took a report of trespassing and breaking and entering at 209 Trinity Mountain Road.
On 8/25/23, a deputy took a report of a motor vehicle accident that took place in the Dostal Alley parking lot. Video surveillance footage showed there wasn't a motor vehicle accident. The reporting party was notified and a report was completed.
On 8/25/23, at approximately 7 p.m., a deputy was performing assigned duties at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. At that time, the deputy was releasing an inmate when he ran the inmate's information through the NCIC database and found that the male inmate had an active warrant out of another county. The inmate was made aware and booked in on this out of county warrant and subsequently released on cash/self bond. Inmate was booked in without incident.
On 8/25/23, at approximately 7:58 p.m., deputies received a call about harassment via telephone. The victim was unable to provide names and phone number. A report was made.
On 8/25/23, at approximately 9:55 p.m., deputies responded to the Gold Mountain Village Apartments for the report of a disturbance. It was determined that no crimes had been committed and a report was made.
On 8/26/23, at approximately 4 p.m., an in custody party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on two Adams County outstanding warrants.
On 8/26/23, at approximately 6:06 p.m., deputies received a report of an animal bite. A report was made and the cat was placed on a 10 day quarantine.
On 8/27/23, a deputy responded to a trespass call on Wellington Mine Road. The case is still under investigation to determine if a crime was committed.
On 8/27/23, at approximately 3 p.m., deputies responded to an Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Roll over at the 1200 block of Fence Line Road. A male party was cited for Reckless Driving and Minor in Possession.
On 8/27/23, at approximately 3:45 p.m., deputies responded to an off highway vehicle accident. In the course of the call a deputy's truck slid off the roadway into a tree. A report was made.
On 8/28/23, a deputy took a fraud report by phone.
On 8/29/23, at approximately 11:29 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to 3896 Gamble Gulch Road.. in reference to an alleged theft/violation of protection order. The call was handled via phone calls by the reporting party’s request. A report was completed later.
On 8/29/23, at approximately 6:33 p.m., a deputy took a phone report for a lost firearm in the national forest. A report was taken.
On 8/30/23, at approximately 2:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 161 Blue Spruce Road. on a disturbance.
On 8/30/23, at approximately 10:02 p.m., a deputy was on routine patrol near the 5500 block of Tolland Road and observed a traffic accident. The Colorado State Patrol was contacted to take the report.
On 8/31/23, at approximately 5:03 p.m., a deputy picked up a found suitcase with clothes in it and booked it into evidence for safe keeping.
