On 4/1/23, at approximately 2:41 p.m.,a deputy was dispatched to 554 Old Hughesville Road, Black Hawk, on a report of a civil issue. A report was completed.
On 4/1/23, at approximately 5:06 p.m., deputies responded, emergent, to conduct a welfare check at the Z-Stop Gas Station, which is located at 1351 HIghway 119, unincorporated Gilpin County. Later, a death investigation was conducted and a report was taken.
On 4/2/23, at approximately 1:45 p.m., a deputy took a phone report regarding a missing person. The person was said to have gone missing from a residence at the 900 block of Karlann Drive, Black Hawk.
On 4/3/23, at approximately 10:35 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy took a report of harassment / trespassing at 105 Conestoga Road, Black Hawk.
On 3/30/23, at approximately 10:40 p.m., Gilpin County deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5800 block of Highway 119. Two male parties were taken into custody.
On 4/4/23, at 11:05 a.m., a deputy took an information report regarding a suspicious conversation by phone.
On 4/4/23, at approximately 11:59 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to 109 Main Street, Central City, to the Famous Bonanza Casino in reference to an alleged forgery. A report was later completed.
On 4/5/23, a deputy was dispatched to an abandoned box truck hampering snow plow activities on Gold Road. A tow was called and stood down as the responsible people for the truck moved it. Verbal warning was given for parking on the roadway.
On 4/6/23, at approximately 5:15 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy took a report of counterfeit money at 102 Main Street, Central City.
On 4/7/23, at approximately 11:45 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Century Casino, Central City, on the report of a cold motor vehicle crash, property damage only. A report was taken.
On 4/7/23, at approximately 2:23 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to contact a party regarding a theft. The theft was reported to have taken place in the 300 block of East 1st High Street, Central City. A report was taken.
On 4/7/23, at approximately 3:26 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief to be handled by phone regarding an incident which had occurred in the 100 block of Gregory Street, Central City. A report was taken.
On 4/7/23, at approximately 3:50 p.m., master control informed a detention deputy of a male party that arrived at the sheriff's office lobby to turn himself in on a warrant. After clearing the male party with Gilpin County Communications via radio the male party did have an active warrant out of Black Hawk and was arrested on said warrant. The male party was arrested and
booked in without incident.
On 4/7/23, a deputy took a report for what is assumed to be altered $100 bills.
On 4/8/23, at approximately 3:31 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy took a report of counterfeit money at 109 Main Street, Central City, the Famous Bonanza Casino.
On 4/9/23, at approximately 4:40 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the report of a cold burglary at Russell Gulch Storage which is located at 816 Russell Gulch Road, Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 4/10/23, at approximately 10:22 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop at the 500 block of Gregory Street, Central City. The driver issued a criminal summons.
On 4/10/23, at approximately 6:12 p.m., deputies responded to 4800 Tolland Road, Rollinsville,Gilpin County, in reference to trespass on a freight train and a summons was issued.
On 4/12/23, a deputy took a complaint for illegal dumping. Suspect was contacted and a summons issued.
On 4/13/23, at approximately 2:15 p.m., three Gilpin County Sheriff deputies were at the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office shooting range located at 2577 Lake Gulch Road, Central City, for firearms training when they noticed a female party not authorized to be in the gated private property. Contact was made and the female party was cited for 2nd degree trespass and escorted off the premises without incident. No further action.
On 4/13/23, at approximately 2:34 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy took a report of an alleged harassment that occurred at 425 Mammoth View Lane, Central City, Gilpin County. An information report was completed.
On 4/14/23, at approximately 4:40 a.m., Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office received a call that child pornography was downloaded onto the reporting party's computer. A report was taken.
On 4/14/23, at approximately 5:16 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 1400 block of Lippincott Drive, Black Hawk, on the report of a cold burglary and poisoning. This case is currently under investigation.
On 4/14/23, at approximately 1:37 p.m., a deputy responded to Robinson Hill Road, Black Hawk, on the report of a suicidal party. The party later returned home safely.
On 4/15/23, at approximately 1:19 p.m., a party came into the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office, 2960 Dory Hill Rd, Black Hawk, to turn in found drug paraphernalia. The paraphernalia was seized and booked for destruction.
On 4/16/23, at approximately 4:31 p.m., Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Gregory Street, Central City, in reference to a disturbance in progress. A report was completed.
On 4/17/23, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a Gilpin County citizen reported her financial account had been compromised.
On 4/17/23, at approximately 3 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to meet a reporting party in the lobby of the sheriff's office, who wanted to report harassment. A report was taken.
On 4/17/23, at approximately 4:29 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of criminal mischief in the 2700 block of Church Placer Road, unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 4/17/23, at 10:20 p.m., a person came to the lobby of the Gilpin County Jail to turn themselves in on an active warrant.
On 4/18/23, at approximately 11:10 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to 2881 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk, for a deceased male.
On 4/18/23, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a deputy from the jail responded to the lobby of the sheriff's office and made contact with a male party turning himself in on a warrant. The warrant was confirmed with Gilpin County dispatch. The male party was arrested and booked into the jail without incident.
On 4/18/23, at approximately 4:49 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 5312 Highway 119, City of Black Hawk, in reference to a motor vehicle theft and a report was taken.
On 4/19/23, at about 12 p.m., a deputy responded to a residence in mid-county on the allegation of poisoning. A party was transported to a local hospital and an investigation was begun.
On 4/19/23, at about 1 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop and summoned the driver to court.
On 4/19/23, at about 2 p.m., a resident called to report a Violation of a Protection Order by nature of trespass. Interviews and a scene investigation were conducted and it was determined further inquiry is needed and no enforcement action can be justified at the moment.
On 4/19/23, at approximately 10:19 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Century Casino City in Central City, in reference to a fraud. A report was taken.
On 4/20/23, at approximately 1:46 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino to collect found property. A report was made.
On 4/20/23, at 9:11 a.m., a person came to the lobby of the Gilpin County Jail to turn themselves in on an active warrant.
On 4/20/23, at approximately 2:56 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 2960 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk, in reference to fraud. A report was taken.
On 4/21/23, at approximately 4:52 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of suspicious activity at the Gold Mountain Village Apartments, located at 440 Powder Run Drive, Central City.
On 4/21/23, at approximately 5:14 p.m., a deputy was dispatched on the report of a dog bite which had occurred in the 500 block of Bear Drive, unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 4/23/23, at approximately 11:35 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to 224 E. 4th High Street, Central City. On a report of a male party who was not breathing and unconscious. The male party was deceased. A report was completed.
On 4/23/23, at approximately 3:49 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a violation of a protection order, located in the 600 block of Old Hughesville Road, unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
On 4/24/23, at approximately 9:45 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to 601 Old Hughesville Road, Black Hawk, for the report of a violation of restraining order.
On 4/24/23, at approximately 4:11 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a possible abandoned trailer located at 12 Dill Pickle Place, Black Hawk. Upon investigating, it was determined to be an unreported steal. The trailer was returned to the owner. A report was completed.
On 4/24/23, at approximately 4:27 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 14936 Highway 119, Black Hawk, in reference to a motor vehicle theft. A report was taken.
On 4/24/23, at approximately 7:22 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the report of a motor vehicle theft which had occurred in the vicinity of mile marker 1.5, Central City Parkway. A report was taken.
On 4/25/23, a deputy was beaten, by a female, the female used a set of keys to hit the deputy. The female was arrested after a brief use of force. The female was booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 4/25/23, at approximately 5:26 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Main Street, Central City, in reference to a vehicle impeding city plow operations and a vehicle was towed.
On 4/26/23, at approximately 12:26 a.m., Gilpin County deputies responded to the Easy Street Casino for a counterfeit $10 bill. The bill was collected and a report made.
On 4/26/23, at approximately 7:18 a.m., Gilpin County deputies were dispatched to 52 Rudolph Ranch Road, Black Hawk, unincorporated Gilpin County, in reference to an alleged trespass/ violation of protection order. A report was completed.
On 4/26/23, at approximately 11:16 a.m., a person in custody at the Gilpin County Jail, was booked in on another warrant.
On 4/26/23, at approximately 6:36 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 601 Old Hughesville Road, Black Hawk, in reference to a harassment. A report was taken.
On 4/26/23, at approximately 11:57 p.m., Gilpin County deputies responded to the 200 block of E 3rd High Street in Central City for the report of open doors on the residence. Deputies cleared the house and saw no signs of forced entry or crimes being committed. A report was made.
On 4/27/23, at approximately 2:15 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy was dispatched to a report of a possible Interference with a County Official or Attempting to Influence a County Official at 141 Nevada Street, Central City.
On 4/24/23, at approximately 4:27 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 554 Old Hughesville Road, Black Hawk, in reference to a violation of protection order. A report was taken.
On 4/28/23, at approximately 2:18 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a fraud located at 961 Karlann Drive, Black Hawk. The deputy was further advised the reporting party wanted to be contacted by phone. A phone interview was completed and a report done.
On 4/29/23, at approximately 2:02 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with a party trapped in the vehicle at the location of mile marker 3 and Highway 46, Black Hawk, Gilpin County. A report was completed.
