Greetings Readers,
The days are longer and the nights are warmer, which signals the time to get the food pantry garden up and growing. We have had many successful years with the garden supplying fresh produce to the Gilpin County Food Pantry.
The garden’s success is due to a great and dependable group of volunteers. This year our goals are a bit more ambitious as we have added a few more plots to grow delicious vegetables in. To make this year’s harvest as plentiful as possible a few more volunteers are needed.
If you enjoy working outside and enjoy knowing the fruits of your labor will benefit others your help will be greatly appreciated. So if you are an experienced gardener or you have always wanted to give gardening a try, give me a call for more information, Roxy 303-912-7492. It will only require a few hours a week.
The garden is located across from the fairgrounds community center on Norton Drive. I look forward to hearing from you. The Gilpin County Food Pantry is located at 101 Norton Drive, Black Hawk and can always use donations of non-perishable food that is not expired and personal care products i.e. toilet paper, dish soap, shampoo, bath soap.
Thanks for considering volunteering.
Sincerely,
Roxy Goss
