Dear Editor,
Please accept my recommendation to elect Jeff Aiken as Gilpin County Commissioner – District 1.
Jeff, a decades-long Gilpin resident, has been a Central City Alderman for the last 9 years. He is term-limited in this position. Working as an alderman, Jeff has experience in government budgets, policies and the limitations and workings of each. Jeff also spent approximately 20 years with the Central City Sanitation District, adding to his experience and understanding of government operations.
For many years, Jeff has volunteered weekly at the Gilpin County Jail, working as a substance abuse counselor. This has been a great contribution to our County, providing his services at no additional cost to the Sheriff’s Department and helping inmates face addictions that have impacted their lives.
Jeff possesses a wealth of knowledge about Gilpin County and its history! He can be quiet and is certainly unassuming. Jeff is, however, willing and excited to bring his knowledge and experience to benefit the citizens of Gilpin County as a County Commissioner.
Please join me and others to elect Jeff Aiken for Gilpin County Commissioner.
