COAL CREEK CANYON--The Coal Creek Canyon Improvement Association hosted its annual Oktoberfest at the Coal Creek Hall at 31528 Highway 72, from 5 to 7 p.m. on October 19, 2024. The menu included bratwurst, German potato salad, strudel and drinks.

Treasurer Chuck Berginc said that about 22 people attended the event. The funds earned from Oktoberfest go into the Association’s general budget and pay for the food.

Cooks and servers included Janic Batt, Shelley Peters, Norma Cassin and Jeremy Turnmeyer.

The next events at CCCIA will be Halloween Movie Night, October 26, from 7 to 9 p.m.  This is “A spooky event with a movie and popcorn.”  The Arts & Crafts Holiday Market will take place on November 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., bringing the community one-stop holiday shopping with 17 fabulous vendors, plus lunch by Canyon Coffee and chair massages by Shelly Peters-Schaller.

The Association’s Thanksgiving Celebration will take place on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, from 11:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m.
