CENTRAL CITY – At the November 5 regular Central City Council meeting, all members were present except Kara Tinucci, including Jeremy Fey, Jeff Aiken, Todd Williams, and Marcia Enloe.
The October 15 minutes and consent agenda were approved without issue. With no public comments, Resolution 24-06, proposing an increase from $150 to $200 in transportation fees for gaming devices, was continued to the next meeting on November 19, 2024.
City Manager Daniel Miera noted that City staff are still gathering information and are not yet fully certain about the numbers. However, they continue to support an increase to help cover the intercity shuttle's projected cost of $265,000 for 2025. Fey mentioned that they expect to have the transportation audit results by the upcoming meeting.
In staff updates, Miera shared that the Central City Urban Renewal Authority is working on creating Plan Area #2, with preliminary approval from the Planning Commission. A public hearing on this matter will be held at the December 3 City Council meeting.
Fey also mentioned safety concerns regarding the new sidewalk on Lawrence Street, with Miera explaining that a delay from the contractor has postponed the installation of the railing.
The meeting adjourned at 7:21 p.m.
The next Central City Council meeting will be held on November 19, 2024, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 141 Nevada Street, Central City, Colorado.
