On 5/1/23, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was contacted about an attempted theft from a Coors Truck that occurred on Main Street, in front of the Monarch Casino.

On 5/1/23, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was contacted about an attempted theft from a Coors Truck that occurred on Main Street, in front of the Monarch Casino. Reporting party stated that he was unloading his distribution truck when a Silver F250 pulled up next to the cargo truck and attempted to steal an empty keg. Upon realizing the keg was empty, the driver left the scene. A report was filed, and an investigation is pending.

On 5/1/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department took a report on a vehicle break-in that occurred at the Monarch parking garage level 4. The vehicle had damage to the driver's side handle. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle. This case will remain active for further investigation.

On 5/1/23, Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft regarding a failure to pay for a meal. The suspect was contacted and agreed to pay for the meal.

On 5/2/23, at about 8 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers were dispatched to a domestic violence disturbance at the Lodge Casino Dakota Lot (245 Main Street) where the male subject had broken a car window. During the investigation, the male suspect fled on foot and officers pursued him. The male was taken into custody and charged with criminal mischief to the car as well as resisting arrest and obstruction.

On 5/2/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the 200 block of Main Street on the report of a traffic accident. A casino bus had backed into a light pole causing damage to the vehicle, pole, and light fixture.

On 5/3/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a fraudulent ID. Officers contacted the male suspect. The officers confiscated the ID and took a report. The male was released at the scene.

On 5/3/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a stolen purse. Officers contacted the victim who valued all the items at $400. Officers identified a suspect but did not make contact due to them leaving the city.

On 5/3/23, at approximately 3:55 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to 488 Main Street for a male party who lost his wallet on the gaming floor. A report was filed.

On 5/3/23, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a male party trespassing and suspicious activity in a vehicle parked in the parking garage. The vehicle was contacted, and two male parties and a female party were identified. One male and the female party were found to be wanted on outstanding warrants. The wanted parties were arrested, and the female party was booked on additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of other people's identification and credit cards.

On 5/3/23, at approximately 4:20 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino, on a report of a stolen purse.The victim was arrested on warrants and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 5/3/23, officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a bomb threat called into Black Hawk Dispatch and the Lodge Casino Hotel front desk. The building was searched, and no bomb or incendiary device was located. A report was taken, and an investigation is ongoing.

On 5/3/23, at approximately 10:08 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Gilpin Casino on the report of found drugs. The officer was able to identify a suspect and charges are pending.

On 5/4/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male on the property who damaged a machine. Dispatch advised the incident occurred on 7/28/22 and the male just won a jackpot. The Monarch requested the male pay restitution, but the male refused. Officers were on the scene as a civil standby.

On 5/3/23, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a stolen phone. A suspect was identified and will be charged with theft.

On 5/5/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male party intoxicated and refusing to leave the gaming floor. Officers contacted him and escorted him to his room. The party then made 911 calls asking why he was kicked off the floor stating he was not intoxicated. During this time other calls were being dispatched. The male then made calls to the non-emergency line after being told to stop calling 911 for non-emergencies. The party called the non emergency line and then another department's non emergency line. The male was charged with false reports to the Black Hawk Municipal Court.

On 5/5/23, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the 200 block of Main Street on a report of a vehicle parked in the roadway. An adult female party was contacted, found to be under the influence of alcohol, and arrested. The vehicle was found to contain controlled substances. The illicit drugs were seized and the female party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 5/5/23, at approximately 3:15 p.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino main cage on a report of a counterfeit $100 bill. The suspect was contacted and released. The bill was seized and booked into evidence.

On 5/5/23, officers responded to Bally's West in regard to a disturbance. A patron had pushed another patron and the casino had to remove the patron who had pushed someone. A summons was issued and a report was taken.

On 5/6/23, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of found drugs. A male was arrested for a felony controlled substance charge.

On 5/6/23, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave. A male was contacted and placed into protective custody. The male was escorted to his hotel room, and released to a sober party

On 5/6/23, officers responded to the Lady Luck Hotel on the report of a physical disturbance. A male was arrested for criminal mischief and harassment (DV).

On 5/6/23, an officer was advised that an Uber driver had just dropped off an intoxicated party at the Monarch Casino. The male party was in possession of a small caliber pistol while intoxicated. He was transported to the hospital and issued a summons.

On 5/6/23, officers assisted the Aurora Police Department in investigating a possible disturbance at the Red Dolly Casino. A review of surveillance showed the allegations were unfounded.

On 5/6/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft. Officers contacted the victim who reported a makeup bag was stolen. Officers have a suspect description but have not identified the female. The case is still active.

On 5/7/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe parking garage on a report of a hit-and-run crash. Officers contacted the victim and checked the video to identify the other vehicle. There is no camera coverage of the incident.

On 5/7/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino in regard to a trespass. The suspect was contacted, cited, and a report was taken.

On 5/7/23, Black Hawk officers took a phone report of a lost iPhone. The female owner stated that the iPhone was lost at the Monarch Casino on 5/6/23 on one of the gaming floors.

On 5/7/23, at approximately 6:48 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch parking garage on the report of a theft from a vehicle. Currently, there is no suspect information available.

On 5/7/23, at approximately 10 a.m., officers responded to the KMM parking garage on the report of a cold hit and run accident.

On 5/7/23, at approximately 11:02 a.m., officers responded to a counterfeit bill at the Ameristar Casino. The bill was collected and booked into evidence to be sent to the Secret Service.

On 5/7/23, at approximately 1:44 p.m., officers responded to Bally's Casino on the report of threats made to a dealer.

On 5/8/23, Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a male punching a slot machine and damaging it. Surveillance was able to identify the suspect and a report was filed. The suspect was no longer on scene.

On 5/8/23, at approximately 3:31 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers assisted an intoxicated male at the Lodge Casino bus turn-around. Officers later placed the male party into protective custody and transported him to a detoxification facility.

On 5/8/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a damaged slot machine. The suspect was located and issued a summons, and released.

On 5/9/23, an officer responded to the Monarch parking garage, for a hit-and-run incident. A report was taken.

On 5/9/23, at approximately 1:48 p.m., officers received a phone report regarding fraudulent credit card activity. A male suspect has been identified.

On 5/9/23, at approximately 5:45 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar parking garage on the report of a cold hit and run accident. An investigation determined the accident occurred at a different location.

On 5/10/23, at approximately 9 a.m., officers responded to a welfare check in a vehicle in the 100 block of Main Street. It was later determined there was a protection order in place for the male and female party inside the vehicle from 2006. Per Colorado Courts the protection was dismissed in April 2023. The parties were released and a report was taken.

On 5/10/23, at approximately 2:28 p.m., officers took a phone report at 221 Church Street, the Black Hawk Police Department, for an unauthorized ATM withdrawal.

On 5/11/23, at approximately 2:37 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of animal abuse. After investigations, officers found the dog was okay but the male party or owner of the dog had a felony warrant. The male party was later arrested for those warrants.

On 5/11/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of found narcotics on the gaming floor. A suspect was not identified.

On 5/11/23, the Black Hawk Police Department took a report via telephone of a former employee of the Ameristar Casino making threatening statements about an Ameristar casino employee. A female suspect was contacted.

On 05/12/23, an officer responded to the Gilpin Casino on the report of a stolen cell phone. No suspect was identified.

On 5/13/23, at approximately 10:36 a.m., an officer was looking for a missing party's vehicle which was reported to be in Black Hawk. The vehicle was located and a deceased party was located inside the vehicle. 

On 5/13/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers contacted the male owner who stated the vehicle was stolen sometime after 5 p.m. Officers have not identified the suspect at this time.

On 5/13/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a disturbance in a hotel room. A male party was arrested for 3rd Degree Assault (DV).

On 5/13/23, an officer took a report over the phone about a lost cell phone. No suspect has been identified.

On 5/13/23, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a death investigation that occurred at the Ameristar Casino Hotel. There is no foul play suspected.

On 5/13/23, an officer completed a phone report of a possible theft of money that occurred at the Horseshoe Casino.

On 5/13/23, officers contacted a female known to them. The female was arrested for a felony warrant.

On 5/13/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a trespassed party on property. A male party was issued a summons for trespassing and arrested on two misdemeanor warrants.

On 5/13/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a 9-1-1 call for a male beating a female inside a hotel room. Officers arrived on the scene and contacted a male and female. The female was transported to the hospital due to being strangled and almost forced off the balcony. The male was booked into Gilpin County Jail on felony and misdemeanor domestic violence charges.

On 5/14/23, officers responded to the Monarch parking garage in regard to intoxicated parties as well as a possible disturbance. A report was taken.

On 5/14/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino in regards to a physical disturbance. Two male parties were in a physical altercation. Both parties decided to not press charges against one another. A report was taken.

On 5/14/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a disturbance. A female was arrested for assault in the third degree (DV). 

On 5/15/23, at approximately 12:38 a.m., Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to 240 Main Street on a found drugs call. Upon arrival, the suspect was identified and approached by Black Hawk officers. The suspect was cited and trespassed from the property.

On 5/16/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of drugs found in a purse that had been turned into security. A suspect was identified and issued a summons.

On 5/17/23, at approximately 12:53 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department responded to 111 Richman Street for a disturbance occurring between a male and female party. Initially, upon contact, it was determined that it was just a verbal argument and the parties were released. At 1:15 a.m., Black Hawk police responded back to the Ameristar Casino on the report that the male party was strangling the female party. The male party was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail for third degree assault with a domestic violence enhancer.

On 5/17/23, at 4:32 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck parking garage on a pending theft from a vehicle. Upon arrival, Black Hawk officers spoke with the victim and filed a report for missing items from his vehicle.

On 5/17/23, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino to follow up on a report of suspicious activity that may have occurred during the construction of the casino. A report was taken.

On 5/17/23, an officer became aware that the defendant in a DV case had been calling the victim from the Gilpin County Jail. This was in violation of the protection order that the Judge put in place after the Advisement hearing. A warrant and summons were issued as the defendant was still in custody.

On 5/18/23, officers were dispatched to the Sky Bridge between the Horseshoe Casino and the Lady Luck Casino regarding a physical disturbance. Officers arrived on the scene and contacted the victim of the incident, however, the suspect had already left before law enforcement could make contact. A report was taken.

On 5/18/23, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident that occurred in the Lady Luck Casino parking garage. There were no injuries. A report was taken, and the at-fault driver was issued a citation.

On 5/18/23, at 2:28 p.m., officers responded to Monarch Casino in reference to a found bag containing possibly narcotics. A suspect was located and charged with distributing narcotics.

On 5/19/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft. Officers contacted the victim who reported credit cards, Colorado Drivers License, and $500 in cash were stolen. Officers identified the male suspect.

On 5/19/23, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance between a male and female party at the Ameristar Hotel. The male suspect fled the scene. A female victim was contacted. A report was taken, and a warrant was issued for the male suspect at large.

On 5/19/23, at approximately 6:33 p.m., officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked at Monarch parking garage level 2 located at 488 Main Street. The vehicle was investigated and the owner was identified.

On 5/20/23, officers responded to the Z Casino in regards to found drugs. The presumed drugs were confiscated, a report was taken, and a suspect was identified.

On 5/20/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs. Officers located items consistent with fentanyl use as well as burnt pills in foil. The officers contacted a female suspect with felony warrants. She was taken into custody and later released on a summons for possession due to the Gilpin County Jail refusing to book her in.

On 5/20/23, at approximately 9:09 a.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs. It is unknown who dropped the drugs on the floor.

On 5/20/23, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Casino parking garage on a report of suspicious activities. Two male parties and a female party were contacted. All the parties had outstanding warrants; however, only one party's warrants were accepted by the jail due to their current acceptance policies. The male party was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 5/20/23, at 4:32 p.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino on the report of an intoxicated female refusing to leave. The female was subsequently arrested and taken to jail for newcharges developed during the contact.

On 5/21/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a trespass. Officers contacted the female and issued her a municipal summons.

On 5/21/23, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to level 4 of the parking garage at the Ameristar Casino on a report of a trespassed male party on property. The male party was contacted and issued a summons for trespassing.

On 5/23/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a wallet theft. Surveillance video footage is available, but a suspect has not yet been identified. The case will remain open for further investigation.

On 5/23/23, at approximately 2:02 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Main Street on a REDDI (Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately) Report. The suspect vehicle was located and male party was arrested for DUI.

On 5/23/23, at approximately 10:36 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on the report of a female party turning in a fake US $10 bill. Upon arrival, officers collected the female party's name, confiscated the bill, and filed a report.

On 5/24/23, at approximately 2 p.m., Black Hawk officers were advised that a female party showed up to municipal court and had Gilpin County warrants. Officers were informed that the jail would accept. The female party was transported to Gilpin County Jail on her warrant.

On 5/25/23, at approximately 6:39 a.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a hit-and-run. It did not turn out to be a hit-and-run accident.

On 5/25/23, at approximately 11:19 a.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of found property inside a hotel room.

On 5/26/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. Officers contacted the suspects. A female had a warrant and was placed under arrest. Officers located felony amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl on her person. Also on her person were stolen credit cards and a misdemeanor amount of cocaine. The female was booked into Gilpin County Jail.

On 5/26/23, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a motor vehicle theft. There is suspect information.

On 5/26/23, officers took a phone report about a damaged slot machine that occurred at 1:25 a.m. on 5/26/23 at the Ameristar Casino located at 111 Richman Street.

On 5/26/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of lost car keys. Officers accessed the 2/6 owner's vehicle while they waited for a car service to arrive.

On 5/27/23, Black Hawk officers took a phone report of a vehicle break-in at the Bally’s Casino garage. There is no camera coverage of the incident or leads on a suspect. The case is inactive.

On 5/27/23, at approximately 8:21 a.m. an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a truck that pulled into the valet area and hit some lights. The truck was later removed and the driver was issued a summons.

On 5/27/23, the Black Hawk Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle from the parking garage at the Horseshoe Casino. A suspect has not been identified.

On 5/27/23, an officer took a phone report for a stolen Colorado License plate.

On 5/27/23, at 8:24 p.m., officers responded to a welfare check at 111 Richman Street which led to an individual that was arrested for outstanding warrants, and new narcotic charges.

On 5/27/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of two intoxicated parties refusing to leave. Officers contacted the parties and escorted them off the property. The male later got into a vehicle and was stopped in the garage. The male had a Homeland Security/ICE warrant for his arrest. The male was released due to Gilpin County Jail refusing to book the male in on the warrant.

On 5/28/23, Black Hawk officers responded to assist Gilpin County deputies with a DUI crash. Black Hawk officers performed the EBAT breath test.

On 5/28/23, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino in regard to an intoxicated, belligerent, party refusing to leave the property. The party was escorted off the property and a report was taken.

On 5/28/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft. Officers located the two female suspects and located a wallet belonging to the victim. The victim stated that nothing was missing and did not want to press charges. The suspects were released on the scene.

On 5/28/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino for a trespass refusing to leave who possibly sexually harassed a staff member. Officers contacted the male suspect and issued him a summons for harassment after talking with the victim the suspect smacked her hand.

On 5/28/23, officers were at the Horseshoe Casino in regards to a dispatched call. Officers observed a trespassed party on the property. The suspect was contacted, issued a summons, and escorted off the property. A report was taken.

On 5/28/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report regarding a hit-and-run that occurred inside Bally's parking garage on 5/27/23. The case remains open for further investigation.

On 5/28/23, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department stood by while a deputy from the Adams County Sheriff's Office made an arrest.

On 5/28/23, an officer responded to the Bally's West Casino for a reported officer impersonation incident. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

On 5/29/23, at approximately 12 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers were contacted via phone in regard to a sexual assault that occurred in the Monarch Casino Hotel. Officers spoke with the victim, contacted victim advocate, and detectives are currently investigating the case.

On 5/29/23, at approximately 2:11 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a fraudulent identification being used. Upon arrival, a Black Hawk officer spoke with a female party who presented the casino with a fake ID. Officers confiscated the ID and informed the party she was to leave the casino property immediately.

On 5/29/23, a Black Hawk officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a theft of a backpack. The investigation found housekeeping had turned the item into security and the property was returned to the owner.

On 5/29/23, at approximately 10 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Ameristar parking garage on a REDDI Report. Officers later placed a suspect into custody and released him with a summons.

On 5/30/23, an officer responded to the Black Hawk Public Works building at 987 Miners Road for a property damage incident. A report was taken.

On 5/30/23, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino for a medical issue. A report was taken.

On 5/30/23, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department assisted the Westminster Police Department in attempting to locate a reported missing person. Officers conducted area checks in all parking garages and parking lots but were unable to locate the missing person or their vehicle. On a later date the missing person was located.

On 5/30/23, at 7 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Hotel on a report of an overdose. Gilpin medics were able to revive the male party and take him to the hospital.

On 5/31/23, at approximately 4:10 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Ameristar on the report of a male party with warrants. Officers later placed the male party in custody for the warrants.

On 5/31/23, at approximately 4:50 a.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an assault. The officer later identified the suspect and investigations are pending.

On 5/31/23, an officer responded to the Sasquatch Casino on the report of a leak in a basement water main, causing it to flood.

On 5/31/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the 500 block of Main Street to assist Colorado State Patrol. Colorado State Patrol placed a male driver in custody for DUI.
