On 3/1/23, at approximately 2:56 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers were dispatched to Bally's parking garage on the report of a cold theft from a vehicle. The suspect was driving a blue F350 with stolen plates. The investigation is open and the case is active.
On 3/1/23, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino parking garage on a report of a vehicle break-in. Officers took pictures as well as victim information. The investigation is pending.
On 3/1/23 Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male trespassing. Officers contacted the male and issued a county summons for trespassing.
On 3/2/23, Black Hawk officers contacted a male party at the Ameristar Casino. The male was returning a lost phone but had felony warrants. He was later booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 3/2/23, at approximately 4:38 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers were dispatched to 111 the Ameristar Hotel on the report of an unwanted party located in the business center. Upon arrival and clearing the party, it was discovered the male party had outstanding warrants. Upon transport to the jail, the jail refused to take the party due to medical clearance. The male party was transported back to Black Hawk and released.
On 3/2/23, at approximately 6 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers were conducting a License Plate Reader Sweep at the Saratoga Casino parking garage. Officers later discovered a suspect vehicle from a prior case and were able to arrest the suspect.
On 3/02/23, an officer was conducting a walk at the Wild Card Casino when he spotted two female parties. One of the female parties was wanted with felony warrants out of Black Hawk. The second female party also had felony warrants. Both parties were arrested and taken to Gilpin County Jail.
On 3/3/23, the Black Hawk Police Department took possession of a woman's wallet found at the Monarch Casino. The wallet's owner has been contacted.
On 3/3/23, at approximately 3:55 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a disturbance. A male suspect was contacted and taken into custody for violation of a protection order.
On 3/3/23, at approximately 9 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers received a call about a vehicle being stolen out of the Lodge's valet parking lot (240 Main Street). A suspect was later located and arrested.
On 3/3/23, at approximately 1054 p.m., Black Hawk officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the Ameristar garage. The vehicle was related to a theft, the vehicle continued out of the garage onto Richman St and Highway 119 where it came to a stop and was boxed in. A female driver was taken into custody and released at the scene.
On 3/3/23, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in regards to a theft of a bag. When officers arrived on the scene, the suspects attempted to leave the scene. However, officers were able to catch up to the suspects and make contact. The stolen property was returned to the victim of the theft. The victim did not want to press charges, the suspects were released at the scene and a report was taken.
On 3/4/23, Black Hawk officers responded to Ameristar Casino on a REDDI report. Officers located the vehicle and arrested a male driver for DUI.
On 3/4/23, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers discovered a damaged road sign with debris from a car on the road at the intersection of Richman Street and Highway 119. Officers were unable to locate the suspect who damaged the sign. A report has been taken.
On 3/4/23, officers responded to a fight in progress at the Lodge Casino. One male was transported to the hospital, and the second male was released pending charges. The investigation is ongoing.
On 3/4/23, an officer received a phone call from the Colorado State Patrol in regards to a possible domestic violence incident that occurred in Black Hawk. The victim approached the CSP Trooper on a traffic stop at mile marker 270 on Highway 119.
On 3/4/23, at approximately 10 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a physical altercation. Officers found that no one was injured and a male party was cited with a summons.
On 3/7/23, officers with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a possible theft of money from a wallet. The wallet was returned to the victim without cash. The case will remain open for further investigation.
On 3/6/23, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a welfare check. The male party was identified and had an outstanding warrant. The male was transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 3/6/23, at approximately 12:40 p.m., a male party came into the lobby of the police department and requested his property. The individual had multiple warrants and was arrested and taken to the jail.
On 3/6/23, at approximately 4:35 p.m., Black Hawk officers received a report about a lost phone. Officers collected information and took a report.
On 3/6/23, at approximately 9:33 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino, on a report of a wallet theft. The wallet was left in a locker inside the woman's locker room. We're unable to determine who took the wallet.
On 3/6/23, officers responded to the 400 block of Main Street on a report of a male party threatening to harm himself. The male was contacted, the medics were notified and he went to the hospital.
On 3/6/23, at approximately 8 p.m., Black Hawk Police Department received a phone call from the Aurora Police Department in regards to a domestic assault that allegedly happened in Black Hawk. The victim was later contacted as well as a victim's advocate and currently pending investigations.
On 3/8/23, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the construction lot located on Gregory Street on the report of an unwanted party moving construction equipment. Black Hawk Police officers were unable to locate the party and cleared the scene.
On 3/8/23, at approximately 3:33 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to assist Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop at mile marker 6 on Highway 119. Black Hawk dispatch advised officers that State Patrol had one male at taser point. Officers assisted the trooper in getting the male party into custody.
On 3/8/23, at approximately 5:09 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of an intoxicated party refusing to leave the casino. Upon arrival, a Black Hawk officer gave the male party a courtesy ride to the Ameristar, where he rented a room. Black Hawk Police officers contacted the party an additional time, where the party was again observed on the gaming floor intoxicated. The male party was escorted to his room and officers cleared the scene.
On 3/8/23, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino, for an employee reporting a harassment incident. The suspect was located and issued a summons.
On 3/8/23, the Black Hawk Police Department investigated a report of illegal trash dumping that had previously occurred at the Hidden Treasure Trailhead. One suspect has been identified.
On 3/8/23, an officer responded to the parking lot next to the Carriage House parking garage on the report of a vehicle break-in. The suspects were not identified, but a vehicle was seen, and once cleared, it came back as a stolen vehicle out of Denver.
On 3/9/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino parking garage in regard to a disturbance. The incident evolved into a criminal mischief incident. A suspect was identified and contacted, a report was taken.
On 3/9/23, at approximately 3: 38 p.m., officers took a report of a coat theft at the Saratoga Casino. The suspect was located, cited, and the jacket was returned.
On 3/9/23, an officer responded to the Ameristar casino on the report of stolen property from the woman employee locker. No suspect was identified.
On 3/10/23, at approximately 3:01 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of found drugs. A substance suspected to be narcotics was recovered and booked in for destruction. No suspect has been identified.
On 3/10/23, at approximately 4:55 p.m., an officer located an occupied stolen vehicle at the Horseshoe Casino. The occupants were arrested and released pending charges.
On 3/11/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft of a jacket. A suspect was later charged with theft and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on warrants.
On 3/11/23, officers responded to Bally's West in regard to found drugs and drug paraphernalia. A summons was issued, and a report was taken.
On 3/11/23, at approximately 1041 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft. A female suspect has been identified.
On 3/11/23, at approximately 4:25 p.m., officers responded to Bally's Casino on the report of a damaged slot machine. A suspect was cited.
On 3/11/23, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino, on the report of lost money on the casino floor.
On 3/11/23, at 6:08 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit $5 bill. The bill was seized and the party who passed it was identified.
On 3/11/23, officers responded to the 200 block of Gregory Street on the report of a fight between two males. The males were brothers, no injuries occurred, and they were given a verbal warning for disorderly conduct. A report was taken.
On 3/11/2023, Black Hawk officers responded to a theft at the Sasquatch Casino. Officers contacted a victim who reported a phone stolen. A suspect has not yet been identified.
On 3/12/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino in regard to a possibly threatening note. A report was taken.
On 3/12/23, at 9:43 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a disturbance in progress, at the Lodge parking garage. Upon arrival, the suspect was located and taken into custody for multiple charges.
On 3/13/23, at 3:54 a.m., Black Hawk Police Department officers were dispatched to theHorseshoe Casino on the report of a male party damaging property on the casino floor. Upon arrival, Black Hawk Police officers cited and released the male party, who left the property.
On 3/13/23, the Black Hawk Police Department received a call from a resident in Black Hawk about a suspicious vehicle in one of the residential areas. A partial description of the vehicle and the driver were provided. At this time it was determined no crime was committed and the case will be unfounded. Additional patrolling will be conducted in the residential areas.
On 3/13/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on a theft of a cell phone. Surveillance reviewed video footage for the time frames and informed the officer that the video was inconclusive. At this time there are no further leads and the case will be inactive. The owner of the cell phone was informed.
On 3/13/23, at approximately 8 p.m.,, Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Lady Luck parking garage for a verbal dispute. A male party was later arrested for warrants.
On 3/13/23, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a male party possibly having an overdose. Officers arrived and the male party was standing and talking. Shortly after fire rescue arrived and began to assess the male party. Medics arrived and transported the male party. A small yellow case was found that had burned foil in it. The officer took the case and booked it for destruction.
On 3/14/23, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a Black Hawk Police officer was flagged down by a pedestrian who claimed that a naked male attempted to contact her in the Horseshoe parking garage seeking help. Black Hawk officers responded to the valet entrance of the Horseshoe where they made contact with the male party, and released him to medics to be transported to St. Anthony's in Lakewood.
On 3/14/23, at approximately 2 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on a report of a theft. Officers were able to locate the suspect and recover the stolen property. The property was later returned to the owner.
On 3/14/23, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Hotel, for a suspicious medical incident. A report was taken.
On 3/14/23, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Wild Card Casino on a report of a trespassed male party on the property. The male party was issued a Municipal Summons.
On 3/14/23, at approximately 230 p.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Hotel on the report of a male party needing a standby so he could get his items from a room. Upon arrival, officers cleared both parties for wants and warrants. The reporting party had a felony warrant out of South Dakota and was arrested. No other charges were charged.
On 3/14/23, at approximately 4:23 p.m., an officer took a phone report at 221 Church Street, the Black Hawk Police Department, on a call of an assault. The investigation is ongoing.
On 3/15/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a hit and run. Information was gathered from the victim and surveillance team. The suspect was no longer at the scene. This case will remain open for further investigation.
On 3/15/23, officers investigated a claim of unlawful sexual contact between a Monarch employee and a guest. The investigation is ongoing.
On 3/15/23, at approximately 5:22 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a stolen vehicle.
On 3/15/23, officers responded to Ameristar Casino on the report of a theft of $100. A report was taken.
On 3/16/23, at approximately 11:26 p.m., officers noticed a suspicious vehicle in the Horseshoe parking garage. The vehicle was reported stolen. A suspect was located and arrested.
On 3/14/23, at approximately 1 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the 3rd level of the parking garage elevator lobby at the Horseshoe Casino for an unconscious male party lying on the floor. The male party was later taken by Gilpin Ambulance.
On 3/16/23, at approximately 3:21 a.m., Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to 111 Richman Street on the report of a male party being contacted for stealing food from the hotel lobby. Upon being contacted, the male party stated that he had a gun. Black Hawk officers arrived and cited and released the male party.
On 3/17/23, officers were dispatched to the Gilpin Casino in regard to found drugs located within a jacket. The suspect then approached the staff looking for his jacket. An arrest was made, and a report was taken.
On 3/17/23, at approximately 6:21 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft. A male suspect has been identified.
On 3/17/23, at approximately 1:45 p.m., officers responded to the Sasquatch Casino on the report of suspicious activity. A male suspect has been identified and an investigation into possible criminal activity is ongoing.
On 3/17/23, officers responded to Bally's North Casino on the report of a male assaulting other guests. A male party was issued a summons for two charges of harassment and transported to the Colorado Crisis Detox Center.
On 3/18/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of two parties about to engage in a fight. The parties were separated and nobody was charged.
On 3/18/23, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a male party sleeping on floor 23 of the hotel and having urinated in the hallway. Officers responded the male was checked out by medics and issued a summons for public urination.
On 3/18/23, officers received a call from a charge nurse at St. Anthony's Hospital stating they had a gunshot victim, and the incident occurred at the Ameristar Casino. It was determined the incident didn't happen at Ameristar, and the investigation is ongoing.
On 3/18/23, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of found drugs. A small baggie of suspected methamphetamine was located in the bathroom. No suspect can be identified. Drugs were booked in for destruction.
On 3/18/23, at approximately 4:54 p.m., officers responded to Bally's North Casino in reference to a physical disturbance. Two involved suspects were cited.
On 3/18/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a stolen purse. A female was issued a summons, and the purse was returned with only cash missing.
On 3/18/23, at 11:48 p.m., officers responded to a REDDI report at Highway 119 and Gregory Street. A suspect was arrested.
On 3/19/23, officers were at the Lodge Casino in regard to someone trespassing inside a hotel room. Officers cleared the supposed hotel room and did not locate a suspect at the time. A report was taken.
On 3/19/23, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino to look for a stolen vehicle. Officers were notified of the stolen vehicle by the license plate reader in a patrol car. The vehicle was located and occupied by a male and a female. The female was arrested for warrants by Gilpin County. The male was transported to the hospital. The investigation is active.
On 3/19/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department took a cold theft report that occurred on 3/3/23 at the Red Dolly Casino. The theft was reported by casino staff. The suspect was identified and will be contacted when further information is found. This case will remain active for further investigation.
On 3/19/23, at approximately 10 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the 500 block of Main Street for a motorist's assistance. While providing the motorist's assistance, officers discovered a male party who was driving while intoxicated. Officers later placed the male suspect into custody and were later released on a summons.
On 3/20/23, at approximately 2 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of a theft. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim who said that she dropped money in the bathroom and someone took it. Due to this incident occurring in the bathroom, there is no suspect information. The case is inactive.
On 3/20/23, at approximately 10:40 a.m., officers responded to a male party entering the Bally Casino locations in the 300 block of Main Street, after being asked to leave several times. The male party was contacted while walking in the street and arrested for outstanding warrants. No new charges were filed.
On 3/20/23, at approximately 7:33 p.m., officers received a phone call about a lost watch at the Horseshoe Casino. The casino patron called back and said she found the watch.
On 3/21/23, an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of found property (prescription medication). The owner of the property was contacted and took possession of the items.
On 3/21/23, at approximately 11:20 a.m., an officer received a direct complaint of an individual that was causing a nuisance on the city tramway bus on a regular basis. The tramway bus drivers advised they would drop the individual off outside the Ameristar Casino and watch him walk up Dory Hill Road. They described this individual in a way that was very identifiable and the officer knew who he was. Officers went to the abandoned cabin located on Dory Hill Road and located the homeless person. The officer provided the individual with emergency service phone numbers and gave him a courtesy ride to the metro area so he could get back to the shelters in Denver.
On 3/21/23, at approximately 5:40 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit $10 bill. The counterfeit bill was seized and booked into evidence.
On 3/21/23, at approximately 7:25 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers were responding to the Z Stop gas station to assist Colorado State Patrol with an incident where they ended up trying to apprehend a suspect with a stolen license plate. The vehicle then fled from troopers and headed north on Highway 119. The vehicle was later seen parked in the Monarch parking garage. The suspect was located inside the restroom at the same casino and apprehended without further incident.
On 3/21/23, at approximately 9:50 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of an intoxicated party. Upon arrival, officers were able to remove two intoxicated parties from the Ameristar, but they later returned to the casino and went into their vehicle. The driver was later arrested for DUI and the female party was removed from Ameristar property.
On 3/22/23, at approximately 1:54 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs. Officers arrived on scene and observed the drugs that were found in a wallet. The wallet had an ID in it. Officers were informed by casino staff that the owner of the wallet was still on the gaming floor asking about the wallet. Officers cited the male party for possession of a controlled substance.
On 3/22/23, an officer responded to the Crooks parking Lot on a report of a lost wallet. Surveillance was reviewed and it was determined the wallet was dropped then a party stole the wallet. The suspect was later identified.
On 3/22/23, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a disturbance on the pool level. After investigations, officers issued a female party a summons and released her.
On 3/22/23, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a trespass. Officers later issued the male trespasser a summons and escorted him off Monarch property.
On 3/23/23, at approximately 12:25 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Main Street on a report of an abandoned vehicle blocking the right turn lane onto Highway 119. Officers arrived on scene and saw that there was no one around the vehicle. Due to it blocking traffic officers called for an impound tow. An officer stayed on scene till the vehicle was taken by the tow company.
On 3/23/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft. Officers contacted a male victim who reported $200 missing from his wallet. Officers identified a suspect in the case and are still investigating.
On 3/23/23, officers responded to the Lodge Casino in regard to a trespass incident. The suspect was cited, transported to detox, and a report was taken.
On 3/23/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a vehicle break-in. Officers contacted the victim and are still attempting to identify a suspect or suspects in the case.
On 3/23/23, at approximately 6:48 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a party who was hit in the face. One party was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on DV assault charges.
On 3/23/23, the Black Hawk Police Department received a call regarding harassment occurring at the Monarch Casino parking garage. The victims in this case stated the known suspect, whom they have restraining orders against, followed them to the casino and wrote profanity on one of the victim's back car windows. The case remains active.
On 3/25/23, officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck Casino in regard to a trespassed party. The party left the property in a vehicle and was pulled over by officers. A summons was issued and a report was taken.
On 3/25/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a physical disturbance in the parking garage. A female was taken into custody for a felony warrant and domestic violence. She was transported to Gilpin Jail.
On 3/25/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino Poker Room in regard to damaged property. The suspect was contacted, cited, and a report was taken.
On 3/25/23, an officer witnessed a vehicle driving southbound on Highway119 at mile marker 4.8 lose control and strike a light pole.
On 3/25/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of a stolen phone. Officers contacted the female owner. No suspect has been identified in the case.
On 3/25/23, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in regard to found drugs. The found narcotics were recovered and a report was taken.
On 3/25/23, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs on the casino floor. No suspect was identified.
On 3/26/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of two male parties involved in a fight. Officers contacted the males involved, and no charges were filed as both stated they didn't want any. Upon review of surveillance, both parties appear to engage in the fight willingly.
On 3/26/23, Black Hawk officers stopped a vehicle traveling south on Highway 119. Officers contacted a driver for running a red light at Richman Street and Highway 119. Officers arrested the driver for DUI.
On 3/26/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to a traffic complaint. The reporting party informed dispatch that a vehicle hit a guardrail on Highway 119 and mile marker 1.0. The officer located the vehicle parked in the parking lot between Bally's East and Bally's West. CSP arrived on the scene and took over the investigation.
On 3/26/23, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of lost property.
On 3/28/23, at 12:15 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a cold theft. Black Hawk Police officers responded and took a report of an unknown cash amount being dropped by a victim, and picked up by an unknown male.
On 3/28/23, at approximately 2 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a theft. Officers later located a suspect and investigations pending.
On 3/28/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to a traffic accident/damaged property report. Pictures were taken and a Cirsa report and D33447 report were completed.
On 3/28/23, officers with the Black Hawk Police Department were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of threats being made by a male party. An investigation was conducted and neither party involved was charged.
On 3/29/23, at 4:37 p.m., officers responded to an unknown injury accident at the intersection of Richman Street and Highway 119. It was determined a crash did not occur, but an alleged suspect was issued a summons for other traffic offenses.
On 3/30/23, officers responded to a vehicle that had left the roadway and went airborne at 3200 Highway 119. The crash investigation was referred to another jurisdiction.
On 3/30/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a 911 call. Officers contacted the reporting party stating he was being followed. Officer contacted a suspect that stated she was looking for information on who slashed her tires and thought the 911 caller might know. Two suspects are seen popping all four tires of the female's car. The suspects have not been identified.
On 3/30/23, on officer completed a phone report of a possible DV that occurred at the Ameristar Casino on 2/14/23.
On 3/30/23, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs. A female suspect was located and released on a summons.
On 3/30/23, at approximately 9:58 p.m., officers assisted Colorado State Patrol with the recovery of a stolen vehicle at the Monarch Casino.
On 3/31/23, Black Hawk officers took a phone report of a possible stolen credit card. The female stated she last saw it at the Wild Card Casino.
On 3/31/23, an officer responded to mile marker 4.6 to assist a Gilpin County Sheriff's officer with two Spanish-speaking parties pulled over by a Gilpin County deputy. The driver was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.
On 3/31/23, at approximately 4:32 p.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of harassing phone calls an employee received.
On 3/31/23, an officer received a phone report regarding fraudulent credit card use. No suspect has been identified.
