Black Hawk Police Reports, June 2024
On 6/1/24, at approximately 2:55 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck parking lot on a report of two parties being shot at with a BB gun by a third party. Officers responded and spoke to the two reporting parties but could not locate the third. Investigation is ongoing.
On 6/1/24, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a report of a party refusing to leave a hotel room. The party was later arrested after being found to have caused extensive damage to the property.
On 6/1/24, at approximately 6:38 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle that had no plates. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.
On 6/1/24, at approximately 7 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with no license plates on the 6000 block Highway 119. The driver was issued a warning.
On 6/1/24, at approximately 11:40 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with no headlamps or license plates in the 6300 block of Highway 119. The driver was issued a warning due to the circumstances.
On 6/1/24, at approximately 11:59 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired plates from 2022. Upon investigation, the driver had a suspended license and did not have insurance or registration for the vehicle. The officer released the driver with a citation and proof of service.
On 6/2/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department arrested a known female on an outstanding warrant.
On 6/2/24, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino for a suspicious incident. A report was taken.
On 6/2/24, an officer was dispatched to the Monarch Casino regarding an alleged assault that had occurred on 5/30/24. A report was completed.
On 6/2/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to room 668 at the Horseshoe Hotel on a medical call for a housekeeper exposed to a substance that a dollar bill contained. Security advised the bill had been destroyed by security's morning shift.
On 6/2/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired temporary tag out of Colorado. The driver was released on a verbal warning.
On 6/3/24, an officer assisted detectives from the Adams County Sheriff's Office, who were attempting to locate surveillance footage of a homicide suspect they had taken into custody. An officer later collected evidence from different casinos, which was given to the detectives.
On 6/3/24, at approximately 1:37 a.m., a male party had a medical or intoxication issue at the Monarch Casino. Male party urinated on the casino floor and was not responding to questions. Medics examined the male party and determined that he needed to go to the hospital. No criminal charges filed.
On 6/3/24, at approximately 2 p.m., an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department observed a vehicle on Cooper Street that was occupied by two people. The subjects were contacted and advised they weren't allowed to camp in the city. They left without incident.
On 6/3/24, officers responded to a report of a person passed out in the bathroom of the Bean and Cream Coffee Shop. It was later determined the person was okay and no medical transport was needed.
On 6/3/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a report of an incident that occurred on 6/1/24. The reporting party was a Tram Bus driver who just wanted a report for documentation.
On 6/3/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar parking garage for a property damage incident. The suspect was located and issued a summons.
On 6/4/24, officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino regarding an ID verification. The party was contacted and told not to drink. They were cleared through dispatch.
On 6/5/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the fraud report. The suspects fled the scene before our arrival.
On 6/6/24, at approximately 7:58 p.m., officers were dispatched to a burglary alarm at the Peak to Peak Market. Upon arrival, officers met with the employee who set the alarm off.
On 6/6/24, at approximately 3:05 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with writing on the windshield. A traffic stop was conducted and a warning was given. The driver removed the writing from the windshield.
On 6/6/24, at approximately 3:49 p.m., officers took a walk-in report in the police department lobby regarding lost property.
On 6/6/24, at approximately 4:32 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had an expired plate since 11/23. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.
On 6/6/24, at approximately 8:23 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with an expired plate from 9/23 on the 6000 block of Highway 119. Upon stop, the driver was revoked HTO. A summons was issued.
On 6/6/24, at approximately 11:24 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Dakota Parking Lot on the report of intoxicated parties who were verbally non-compliant. Upon investigation, no crime was committed. All parties were checked by paramedics. A sober party drove them home and all officers cleared with an FI.
On 6/7/24, at approximately 1:46 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights and display of an expired temporary permit occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 6/7/24, at approximately 2:45 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates attached occurring at the 400 block of Gregory Street. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.
On 6/7/24, at approximately 3:17 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a phone theft. Officers were able to locate the phone but were unable to retrieve the items in the wallet case. Suspect was not on scene and did not use a player's card.
On 6/7/24, at approximately 7:10 p.m., while conducting a garage check at the Monarch, officers observed a fictitious temporary plate. The plate was taken and a business card was left for the vehicle owner to contact the Black Hawk Police Department.
On 6/7/24, at approximately 11:48 p.m., officers were conducting an area check of the Ameristar garage. Officers observed an expired temporary tag on an incorrect vehicle. The plate was seized and a business card was left.
On 6/7/24, at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers took a phone report of a stolen wallet that occurred on 6/4/24. An investigation is underway.
On 6/7/24, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to mile marker 5 on Highway 119 for an assist to the State Patrol. Officers later provided a courtesy ride for a male party to the Monarch Casino.
On 6/7/24, at approximately 4:24 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving at a higher rate of speed than other vehicles down the 400 block of Main Street. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 6/7/24, at approximately 11:41 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving without the vehicle's headlamps activated. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 2:23 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of unlawful sexual contact occurring on the gaming floor. A suspect was identified and issued a summons. A report was completed.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 8:12 a.m., an officer checked on a subject sleeping in his vehicle in the Bally's parking garage. The subject was found to be fine and just sleeping before heading back to Grand Junction.
On 6/8/24, while conducting routine garage checks at Ameristar Casino, an officer contacted a suspicious vehicle with no license plates. The driver/subject provided false information at the time to avoid an arrest on warrants. The case remains active to seek an arrest warrant for the suspect for Criminal Impersonation.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 12:47 p.m., an officer responded to Ameristar Casino Valet on a report of a missing adult. The reporting party stated their husband had started walking north on Highway 119 in search of their abandoned vehicle. The husband had a brain injury and suffers seizures. He was found at 2:08 p.m. at Highway 119 and Highway 46 by Colorado State Patrol. The subject reported having six seizures since he started walking. Paramedics were called and the subject refused to be transported to the hospital. Both the wife and husband were transported to their vehicle.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 4:55 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a stolen phone. The phone was last seen in the employee's locker room and the officer was unable to identify the suspect or locate the phone.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 5:56 p.m., officers observed a vehicle back into another vehicle in the Dakota Lot. A report was taken.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 7:07 p.m., officers took a report of a theft of a cell phone that occurred at the Lodge Casino located at 240 Main Street.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 6:43 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Dakota Lot on the report of a vehicle crash. The officer later identified the suspect and was able to gather all relevant information and provide it to the victim. The victim did not wish to press charges.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 8:16 p.m., an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a dine and dash. The officer was able to identify a suspect but was unable to get in contact or locate the suspect. Investigations are pending.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 9:27 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to yield to oncoming traffic occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 10:11 p.m., officers were called to the Horseshoe Hotel to check the welfare of a party who had made suicidal statements. The subject was located and checked okay. A report was completed.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Main Miners entrance of the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a traffic accident. It was determined that the involved parties were going to handle the accident civilly.
On 6/8/24, at approximately 11:35 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino to assist Horseshoe Team Members with trespassing a guest. It was later discovered that the guest had a warrant and was later taken into custody.
On 6/9/24, at approximately 12:06 a.m., officers received a report of a physical disturbance in progress at the Monarch Casino. Two suspects assaulted a peace officer and were arrested for resisting arrest, assault on a peace officer, and other crimes.
On 6/9/24, at approximately 12:02 a.m., a Black Hawk officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a stolen phone. The officer was able to locate a suspect but was unable to identify him.
On 6/9/24, an officer responded to the Dakota Lot on the report of theft of property. A suspect was later found and a summons was issued for theft.
On 6/9/24, at approximately 4:09 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino in reference to a damaged property. Officers determined it was a civil issue and took a courtesy report.
On 6/10/24, officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Main Street and Richman Street. The party was contacted due to not having a rear license plate visible. A warning was given.
On 6/10/24, at approximately 10:19 a.m., an officer observed a black SUV driving recklessly on Main Street approaching Highway 119. The SUV eluded the officer southbound on Highway 119 from Main Street.
On 6/10/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a hit and run. The driver of the suspect was identified. This case will remain active for further investigation.
On 6/10/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report of a reported stolen cellphone that occurred at the Lodge Casino. All information obtained from the reporting party was provided to the Lodge Casino surveillance. The case will remain active for further investigation.
On 6/10/24, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding theft of property. A report was taken and the suspect charged.
On 6/11/24, at approximately 10:31 p.m., a vehicle that was reported stolen was driving on Main Street and was stopped in the Monarch Casino parking garage. The party operating the vehicle was arrested and taken to jail for motor vehicle theft.
On 6/11/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a possible protection order violation. A report was taken. The case was unfounded.
On 6/12/24, an officer responded to Selak Street on the report of a traffic issue. A driver of a delivery truck was asked to move.
On 6/12/24, at approximately 2:22 p.m., officers responded to Highway 119 at mile marker 8.0 regarding a suspicious party. A male party was contacted on the highway and provided a courtesy ride to a more safe location.
On 6/12/24, officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The vehicle did not have a visible rear plate. The driver was contacted and identified.
On 6/12/24, at approximately 10:35 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop on Black Hawk Street and Highway 119. The vehicle's driver was in the turn lane to go left onto Main Street but went straight. The driver was given a warning and released.
On 6/13/24, at approximately 5:47 a.m., officers responded to the Z Casino administration building on a report of a burglary with property damage. A report was completed and an investigation is ongoing.
On 6/13/24, at approximately 5:44 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired temporary tag. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.
On 6/13/24, at approximately 6:10 p.m., an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plates. The officer later located a valid license plate but the driver did not have insurance for the vehicle. The officer later issued the driver a summons.
On 6/14/24, at approximately 12:17 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring at Main Street and Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 6/14/24, at approximately 12:24 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to yield while turning left occurring on the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 6/14/24, at approximately 3:31 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of a fictitious temporary registration occurring on the 100 block of Richman Street. The driver was issued a summons and the fake tag was seized. A report was completed.
On 6/14/24, a City of Black Hawk employee found a cell phone in the public restroom in Gregory Plaza. The phone was booked in for safekeeping.
On 6/14/24, at approximately 8:12 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Hotel lobby for a welfare check. Officers contacted a male party and assisted him in locating his vehicle.
On 6/14/24, at approximately 8:15 a.m., the Black Hawk Fire Department responded to a request for mutual air for a smoke sighting in Central City. One of the responding vehicles and a piece of equipment were damaged after getting stuck in mud.
On 6/14/24, a member of the Lodge Casino staff contacted the Black Hawk Police Department to report a possible Domestic Violence victim who reached out to them via text messages. It was determined the staff member lives in Thornton, where the incident occurred, so all information was gathered and passed onto their agency to conduct a Welfare Check and DV Investigation into the alleged assault.
On 6/14/24, at approximately 5:46 p.m., officers assisted the Gilpin County Sheriff's Officer with apprehension of two suspects involved in an active burglary in the 600 Block of Lake Gulch Road.
On 6/14/24, at approximately 8:40 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was carelessly driving. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.
On 6/14/24, at 9:32 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights equipped occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.
On 6/14/24, at approximately 9:58 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no headlamps when required. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 6/15/24, at approximately 5:04 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no plates. The officer later released the driver on a verbal warning.
On 6/15/24, at approximately 5:43 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that turned left on a no-turn lane. The officer later discovered that the driver's license was revoked and issued him a citation.

On 6/16/24, at approximately 12:06 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired license plates occurring at Main Street and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 6/16/24, at approximately 12:11 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe located at 488 Main Street in reference to a disturbance; after an investigation, it was determined nothing criminal occurred, and the parties voluntarily elected to stay in separate rooms for the night.
On 6/16/24, at approximately 2:17 a.m., officers took a report in the police department lobby of a criminal mischief occurring at the Saratoga parking garage, located at 101 Main Street. A report was completed and a suspect was identified.
On 6/16/24, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a potentially fraudulent ID. The ID was illegible and seized. A report was completed.
On 6/16/24, at 3:44 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an unauthorized signal lamp occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 6/16/24, at approximately 5:06 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar on found drugs. Officers were unable to identify a suspect and the white substance was logged into evidence for destruction.
On 6/17/24, an officer received a report of damaged property at the Bobtail restrooms. A report was taken.
On 6/17/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino for a suspicious incident. A report was taken.
On 6/17/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a report on a traffic accident on private property. The drivers agreed to exchange insurance information civilly.
On 6/17/24, an officer responded to the Dakota Lot for damage to a vehicle. A report was taken.
On 6/17/24, at approximately 5:42 p.m., an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone call for a citizen assist. The RP was contacted by phone but chose not to speak with the officer.
On 6/17/24, at approximately 10:06 p.m., an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department was on an area check at Hidden Treasure Trailhead when they observed a vehicle parked after hours. The R/O was contacted and left without any issues.
On 6/19/24, at approximately 5:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Hotel on drugs found in hotel room 1503. On arrival at the room, officers noticed that the room was in disarray and there were no illegal drugs found.
On 6/20/24, at approximately 4:13 a.m., Black Hawk officers received a call from a male party's father stating that he got a call from his son's phone and a male suspect was with the son. The father reported saying that the male suspect will hurt the son if the son does not pay him money. Case is ongoing.
On 6/20/24, a welfare check was conducted on a female sleeping in her vehicle. Party was deemed fine and warned about sleeping in her vehicle on city property.
On 6/20/24, the Monarch Casino called the Black Hawk Police Department to report a cold theft that occurred on 6/18/24. The female suspect has not been identified. A report has been taken.
On 6/20/24, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a white Toyota Camry making a turn going into the Z Casino parking lot through two Wrong Way/ Do Not Enter signs. Officers performed a traffic stop and the male driver was given a verbal warning.
On 6/20/24, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers observed a vehicle at the intersection of Main Street and Miners Road with an expired temporary plate from 11/2022. Upon stop, the driver did not have a valid license. A summons was issued.
On 6/21/24, at approximately 1:49 a.m., officers responded to a report of a damaged vehicle at the Lodge Casino valet. Officers determined that the damage had not occurred at the Lodge. A report was completed.
On 6/21/24, at approximately 2:15 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plates displayed occurring at Gregory Street and Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 6/21/24, the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle/camper trailer in the 200 block of Chase Street. The investigation revealed that the subject's involved obtained a valid parking permit on 6/21/24 that allows the recreational vehicle to park in the dirt lot across from 231 Chase Street for a period of 72 hrs.
On 6/21/24, at approximately 1:40 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for running a stop sign. The driver was later issued a verbal warning.
On 6/21/24, at approximately 3:25 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Lodge Casino for a disturbance. When officers arrived, they located the female who was acting nonsensical. After clearing her name, she had an outstanding warrant through the Denver Sheriff's office. She was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 6/21/24, at approximately 5:17 p.m., officers responded to the Wild Card on the report of a trespassing. A suspect was cited.
On 6/21/24, at approximately 9:50 p.m., an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was passing multiple vehicles going the speed limit of 35 mph on Highway 119 at mile marker 6. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning for careless driving.
On 6/21/24, at approximately 9:26 p.m., officers took a report of a stolen cellphone that occurred at the Monarch located at 488 Main Street earlier in the day.
On 6/21/24, at approximately 10:24 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle with no plates in the 400 block of Main Street. The driver had just purchased the car and had all the documentation required, therefore was given a warning.
On 6/22/24, at approximately 12:55 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired temporary registration occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.
On 6/22/24, at approximately 2 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a REDDI reported vehicle at Gregory Street and High Street. The driver was released on a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 6/22/24, at approximately 11:44 a.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a hit-and-run traffic accident. A suspect was later identified.
On 6/22/24, at approximately 1:58 p.m., officers pulled over a vehicle on Highway 119 near mile marker 5.8 for failing to stop at a stop sign. The registered owner was given a warning.
On 6/22/24, at approximately 2:41 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted in the 7300 block Black Hawk Boulevard on a vehicle that was missing the month of expiration on the license plate. Investigation revealed he just forgot to put it on the plate. A warning was given.
On 6/22/24, at approximately 2:48 a.m., an officer performed a traffic stop at Miners and Main Street.
On 6/22/24, at approximately 4:11 p.m., officers responded to a hit-and-run crash inside the Ameristar parking garage. A suspect was located and cited.

On 6/23/24, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to assist the Gilpin Sheriff's Department on a possible intoxicated subject across from the Coyote Motel. On scene, officers contacted the driver and upon a clearance, were notified of an attempt to locate out of Lone Tree Police Department. Lone Tree said the driver had been involved in an accident and asked for the driver's phone number and correct address. Lone Tree was provided with the information and the officers determined the subject was not intoxicated.
On 6/23/24, officers were dispatched on a stolen vehicle report. Officers learned a vehicle was stolen from the Monarch garage on the early morning hours of 6/22/24. The vehicle was entered into Colorado Crime Information Center as stolen. The suspect was identified and an arrest warrant was sought with the district attorney's office.
On 6/23/24, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched on a possible hit and run accident in the garage of the Saratoga. Upon arrival, the driver of the vehicle had returned to the scene and was leaving a note on the vehicle with his information. A courtesy civil assist report was taken because we were unable to locate the owner of the other vehicle.
On 6/24/24, at approximately 12:27 a.m., while conducting a garage check officers observed a fictitious license plate. The plate was removed and a business card was left.
On 6/24/24, at approximately 1:12 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding at mile marker 5.8. The driver possessed valid insurance, registration, and a current driver's license. They were given a verbal warning.
On 6/24/24, at approximately 2:20 p.m., a report of a vehicle break-in at the Horseshoe Casino parking garage. The reporting party and victim stated that the door lock was punched and the steering column was torn open. The camera in that part of the garage was not working and there are no suspects at this time.

On 6/25/24, at approximately 6:06 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Mile Marker 5.8 for a vehicle with a fictitious plate. The plate was removed, the driver was provided instructions in Spanish to obtain a legitimate vehicle.

On 6/25/24, an officer received a phone report of a trespass at the Saratoga Casino. The suspect will be issued a summons for trespass.
On 6/25/24, at approximately 6:48 p.m., an officer met with a subject in the police department lobby who wanted to make a report about civil issues. The subject mentioned she wanted to stop the people who have scammed her. She said she would shoot or kill them with a hammer. The subject was placed on a mental hold due to a concern for the safety of others and she was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
On 6/25/24, at approximately 9:22 p.m., a male party violated gaming laws at the Ameristar Casino. The male party had warrants and was taken to jail. The gaming violation will be forwarded to the Division of Gaming.
On 6/26/24, at approximately 12:03 a.m., an officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the open lot across from the Golden Gilpin Mine. The officer observed two occupants who they cleared on contact and who were cooperative. The parties were advised of the no camping ordinances in the City of Black Hawk.
On 6/26/24, at approximately 12:34 a.m., an officer was on an area check at Bally's garage when they observed a subject sitting in the driver's seat of a blue Malibu on level 3. The officer cleared the plate which belonged to that vehicle.
On 6/26/24, at approximately 2:43 p.m., officers observed a vehicle speeding while traveling northbound on Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning.
On 6/26/24, at approximately 3:15 p.m., officers were approached on a walk at the Ameristar Casino in regards to a lost phone. The phone was located and is in the lost and found at The Lodge. The female party was notified and provided instructions to retrieve the phone.
On 6/26/24, at approximately 4 p.m., a male party committed a gaming violation by playing on a machine that had approximately $48 credit on it at the Monarch Casino. The male party did not have an ID on him and casino security requested we get his ID information so they can file the violation with the Division of Gaming. The male party cooperated and his ID was confirmed. The male party was then trespassed from the casino.
On 6/26/24, at approximately 9:20 p.m., an officer did a welfare check on a male individual sleeping on the bench in front of the Bally's West Casino. After contacting the individual, he said he "was just waiting for his son to come to pick him up". The officer cleared and a field interview report was completed.
On 6/26/24, an officer assisted the Colorado State Patrol in locating a suspect involved in a noninjury accident that left the scene.

On 6/28/24, at approximately 8:20 p.m., an officer responded to Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8 in response to a REDDI Report for a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 6 at mile marker 268 and was headed toward Black Hawk. The officer later located the vehicle at the 5.8 mile marker on Highway 119 and conducted a traffic stop. After investigations, the driver was arrested.
On 6/28/24, at approximately 11:19 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle for no headlights that they observed in the 6300 block of Highway 119. The driver was given a warning.
On 6/29/24, at approximately 2:07 p.m., an officer observed and contacted a male subject wearing a ballistic vest/plate carrier in front of the Monarch Casino. The male subject stated he was wearing it to train but did not have weights or ballistic panels in the carrier. Male subject was informed of the concerns of wearing a ballistic vest in public. He understood and returned it to his vehicle.
On 6/29/24, officers observed a vehicle with no expiration tabs applied to their rear plate in the 5800 block of Highway 119. The driver was given a warning.
On 6/29/24, at approximately 9:59 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that went straight on a turn-only lane. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.
On 6/29/24, an officer responded to a traffic accident report on Highway 119. An investigation was conducted and a summons was issued to one of the drivers for careless driving.
On 6/30/24, at approximately 11:26 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on the report of suspicious activity. A party involved was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
On 6/30/24, at approximately 1:07 p.m., a report of a male party punching another male party occurred at the Lodge Casino. The male party that committed the assault left the area before he could be contacted. Information on the suspect was found by Ameristar Casino. Assault charges are pending.
On 6/30/24, at approximately 2:11 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a disturbance. Officers arrived and contacted a highly intoxicated male who denied being involved. Officers were able to get him to his room with his wife. Officers later returned to the Horseshoe on a report of another physical disturbance. Officers spoke to the male victim who stated he did not want to press charges. The male suspect left the casino.
On 6/30/24, at approximately 3:28 a.m., a female party at the Ameristar reported her cell phone lost/stolen. A review of the security footage showed a male party taking the phone. The male party was cited for theft.
On 6/30/24, at approximately 7:53 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a theft report of sunglasses. The suspect was contacted and issued a summons. The suspect was then released.
On 6/30/24, an officer received a counter report for a possible vehicle damage incident in the Ameristar parking garage. A report was taken.
