On 7/1/24, at approximately 12:50 a.m., a male party reported that he was attacked in the Monarch Casino parking lot approximately two hours prior. Surveillance video confirmed that an assault occurred. Investigation into the identity of the suspect has begun and charges pending.

On 7/1/24, an officer received a suspicious incident report at the Black Hawk Police Department. A report was taken.

On 7/1/24, an officer received a cellular phone found at the Bobtail restroom area. A report was taken.

On 7/1/24, an officer was dispatched to a hit-and-run accident that allegedly occurred on Level 2 of Bally's parking garage. The investigation is ongoing.

On 7/1/24, an officer received a phone report of a traffic accident at the Ameristar parking garage. A report was taken.

On 7/1/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle displaying expired registration from 8/2023. The driver was released on a warning.

On 7/2/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle without visible license plates. The driver was released on a warning.

On 7/2/24, at approximately 4:39 p.m., an officer took a lost property report at the Black Hawk Police Department. The reporting party stated she lost her wallet at the Ameristar Casino.

On 7/2/24, at approximately 9:30 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop on Main Street and Miners. The driver of the vehicle turned right into the wrong lane and was driving at a high rate of speed. The driver was given a warning and released.

On 7/3/24, at approximately 1:38 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding on Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 7/3/24, at approximately 1:51 a.m., officers assisted a male party in the Monarch parking garage that had lost his car keys. The keys were located in the lost and found and turned over to the owner. A business card was given.

On 7/3/24, at approximately 3:49 a.m., officers assisted Gilpin County on a traffic stop with a vehicle that did not have a license plate. Gilpin County issued a summons for no registration and a report was taken.

On 7/3/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a report on a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 119 and Richman Street. One of the driver's was issued a summons.

On 7/3/24, at approximately 10 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired license plate occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/3/24, at approximately 10:04 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of stolen money. The officer was unable to identify a suspect but was able to obtain a description.

On 7/3/24, at approximately 10:23 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlamps displayed and failure to signal lane change occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/3/24, at approximately 10:53 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a minor found gaming on the casino floor. A report was taken for the Division of Gaming and the minor was trespassed.

On 7/4/24, at approximately 1:48 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired license plate occurring at the 200 block of Gregory Street. The driver was issued a citation and a report was completed.

On 7/4/24, at approximately 7:02 a.m., officers observed a suspicious vehicle on the second level of the Monarch parking garage. The vehicle was backed in with no plates and had a sunshade up in a dark area. The vehicle was occupied by two people. No enforcement action was taken, and no crime occurred.

On 7/4/24, at approximately 8:45 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a party sleeping in the stairwell at the Carriage House parking garage. The subject was given a verbal warning to leave.

On 7/4/24, at approximately 10:06 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a female wanting to report that she did not receive her money from a jackpot. Officers had dealt with this female three other times in less than 24 hours where she was claiming the same information. She appeared to be suffering from exhaustion or mental illness. She was asked to leave and her friend agreed to drive her home so she could get rest.

On 7/4/24, at approximately 1:50 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with no plates at Highway 119 and Miners Road. The vehicle was stopped and the driver had all appropriate documentation. A warning was given.

On 7/4/24, at approximately 3:06 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a possible fraud. An individual had credit cards in different names. The subject told officers that he had changed his name and the credit cards were in his former name. This was confirmed through DMV and the subject was allowed to use his credit cards.

On 7/4/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino at the request of an identification check. A female party was on the gaming floor without identification and her age was in question. The party presented a VISA passport card and was determined to be old enough to be inside the gaming area. No further action was taken.

On 7/4/24, officers conducted a traffic stop for a careless and speeding vehicle. A verbal warning was given and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/4/24, at approximately 5:55 p.m., an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Horseshoe parking garage on the report of a vehicle break-in. The officer was unable to identify any suspects and took a report.

On 7/4/24, at approximately 8:06 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that ran a red light. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 7/4/24, at approximately 9:34 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a prohibited turn and disregard of a traffic control signal occurring at Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/4/24, at approximately 10:35 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired license plates occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was cited and a report was completed.

On 7/4/24, an officer spoke with a party on the telephone who wished to report that they had stolen $550,000.00 from the Monarch Casino while employed there. The case is active.

On 7/5/24, at approximately 10:43 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no plates. Upon investigations, the officer discovered that the driver did have plates that expired this month of July 2024. However, the driver was unable to provide valid proof of insurance and the officer issued the driver with a citation.

On 7/5/24,at 1:20 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a theft. A suspect was contacted and the money was recovered. A report was completed.

On 7/5/24, at approximately 6:30 p.m., an officer observed a known party in the Dakota Parking Lot (245 Main Street) that had been previously arrested for Domestic Violence. The victim works at the Lodge/Gilpin Casinos and the Protection Order stipulations advised that the male was not to be at the place of employment for the protected party. The officer contacted him and issued him a summons for the Violation of the Protection Order.

On 7/5/24, at approximately 8:36 a.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle that was actively being tracked to the Ameristar Garage. Two suspects were arrested and a second stolen vehicle was recovered.

On 7/5/24, a City of Black Hawk employee found a set of keys in the area of Highway 119 and Richman Street. The keys were brought to the Black Hawk Police Department and turned in.

On 7/5/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to Bally's North Casino on a found baggie with a crystal-like substance. Officers were unable to locate the owner of the baggie during that time. The case will remain open for further investigation.

On 7/5/24, officers received a traffic complaint from the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office. The vehicle was located and stopped by Black Hawk officers in the Red Dolly Parking Lot located at 530 Main Street. This stop was handed over to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office.

On 7/5/24, an officer spoke with a female who reported that she had a flat tire and she wanted us to review video footage to confirm her husband did not tamper with it. The case remains active for further investigation.

On 7/5/24, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of damaged property. The officers later located the suspect and issued them a citation.

On 7/5/24, at approximately 9:08 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on Highway 119 because the vehicle had no headlights on. Driver was given a warning and no further action was taken. A body worn camera was activated.

On 7/5/24, at approximately 9:19 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an improper turn occurring at Miners Road and Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/5/24, an officer initiated a traffic stop because a vehicle failed to display license plates. The driver was given a warning and no further action was taken. A body worn camera was activated.

On 7/6/24, at approximately 2:16 a.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on a report of a theft from a motor vehicle occurring at the Horseshoe parking garage, located at 401 Main Street. A report was completed.

On 7/6/24, officers responded to the Monarch on the report of a welfare check. A person's welfare was checked and was determined to be okay.

On 7/6/24, at approximately 2:06 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with no plates at Miners Road and Main Street. The driver was given a warning for an unregistered vehicle.

On 7/6/24, officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a trespassed male. The male was contacted and issued a municipal summons for trespassing.

On 7/6/24, an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding a team member threatened by a guest. Insufficient evidence was obtained to pursue charges.

On 7/6/24, officers responded to the Lodge Casino for a male who was trespassed and was back on the property. A male was contacted and issued a municipal summons.

On 7/6/24, at approximately 5:44 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Bally's West Casino on the report of a disturbance. After investigations, the suspect was issued a Municipal Summons.

On 7/6/24, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a trespassed party which was previously contacted and issued a citation for trespassing. The officers later released the party with another citation for trespassing.

On 7/6/24, officers contacted a male at the Lodge Casino for the third time for trespassing. The male had a protection order that stated he couldn't be at the Lodge. The male was arrested for violation of the protection order and trespassing.

On 7/6/24, at approximately 8:55 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 119 and Richman Street for running through a red light. The officer later released the driver with a citation for expired plates.

On 7/6/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a possible counterfeit bill. Officers confirmed the counterfeit and confiscated the bill.

On 7/6/24, at approximately 10:18 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle break-in occurring at the Z Casino parking lot. A suspect was contacted and determined to have permission to be in the vehicle. A report was completed.

On 7/6/24, at approximately 11:36 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 7/6/24, at approximately 11:50 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had an obstruction on their license plate. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 7/7/24, at approximately 12:03 a.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to use a turn signal. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 7/7/24, at approximately 1 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to yield to oncoming traffic while turning left from Highway 119 to Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/7/24, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Black Hawk officers observed a white Porsche traveling the wrong way on Selak Street. The officers initiated a traffic stop and the driver was given a verbal warning.

On 7/7/24, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Black Hawk officers observed a white Hyundai SUV make an illegal U-turn at the intersection of Gregory Street and Highway 119. Officers performed a traffic stop and the driver was given a verbal warning.

On 7/7/24, at approximately 2:29 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring at Main Street and Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/7/24, at approximately 3:33 a.m., an officer contacted a subject on the 300 block of Main Street for urinating in public. The subject was given a warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/7/24, at approximately 3:55 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no visible license plate occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a citation and proof of service. A report was completed.

On 7/7/24, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of damaged property. The suspect was identified and issued a summons for criminal mischief.

On 7/7/24, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department collected a permanent resident card and booked it into evidence.

On 7/7/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department assisted the Colorado State Patrol on a DUI stop.

On 7/8/24, an officer responded to the Lady Luck valet parking lot on the report of a disturbance. Two parties were contacted and it was determined they were in a verbal argument.

On 7/8/24, an officer contacted two individuals who appeared to be in a verbal altercation. The parties were released after no criminal event was determined to have happened.

On 7/8/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle without license plates attached. The driver was issued a summons.

On 7/8/24, an officer took a phone report regarding fraudulent activity on an Xfinity account. No suspect information was located and a report was taken.

On 7/8/24, an officer responded to the Wild Card Casino on the report of a male party threatening the casino. The suspect was identified and will be charged.

On 7/8/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a property damage report at the Saratoga parking garage. The damaged vehicle was photographed. Surveillance will continue to be reviewed. This case will remain active for further investigation.

On 7/9/24, at approximately 2:14 a.m., officers conducted a parking garage check at the Monarch and observed a fictitious plate. The plate was removed and a business card was left.

On 7/9/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed through Main Street. The driver was given a warning.

On 7/9/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of drugs found on the casino floor. No suspect was identified by surveillance.

On 7/9/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle displaying expired registration. The driver was released on a warning.

On 7/9/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a call on a Domestic Violence report that occurred on 1/5/23. The case remains active for further investigation.

On 7/9/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on a lost cell phone that was tracked to a casino in Black Hawk.

On 7/9/24, at approximately 11:43 p.m., a male party attempted to use a counterfeit $50 bill at the Horseshoe Casino. The male party stated he got the $50 bill as change at a flea market. The bill was confiscated and no charges issued.

On 7/10/24, at approximately 12:04 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119 for a vehicle that did not have headlamps turned on. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 7/10/24, at approximately 9:24 p.m., officers responded to the Bally's parking garage on a theft report from a motor vehicle. A report was completed and an investigation is ongoing.

On 7/10/24, at approximately 9:43 p.m., a female party was trespassing at the Ameristar Casino. A municipal summons was issued to the female party.

On 7/10/24, at approximately 10:01 p.m., officers responded to a dog bite incident occurring on the 400 block of Main Street. The owner was issued a summons and a report was completed.

On 7/11/24, at approximately 2:18 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired temporary tag occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.

On 7/11/24, at approximately 4:20 a.m., guests were leaving a hotel room at the Monarch Casino and a baggie with two pills was dropped. The person who dropped the baggie could not be identified. Pills were booked in for destruction.

On 7/11/24, at approximately 5:34 a.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on a report of property tampering. A suspect was identified and an arrest was made.

On 7/11/24, at approximately 5:25 a.m., officers were walking through the Lady Luck Hotel area and observed a male slumped over in a chair. The male had slurred speech and could not recall where he was. Black Hawk Fire and Gilpin Ambulance were called and medically cleared the male party.

On 7/11/24, the Black Hawk Police Department received a call from a party that wanted to report an ongoing dispute via the internet. A report was taken.

On 7/11/24, at approximately 9:09 p.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a theft. A report was completed and an investigation is ongoing.

On 7/11/24, at approximately 9:46 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding and failed to utilize their turn signals. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 7/12/24, at approximately 11:15 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to a possible suicidal party. Officers met with the party and he voluntarily agreed to have a family member transport him to the Jefferson County Crisis Center on a walk-in basis.

On 7/12/24, at approximately 3:05 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plate displayed occurring at mile marker 6 on Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/12/24, at approximately 3:35 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male party becoming unruly. Officers contacted casino staff and were informed that the male party had taken money off a roulette table when he wasn't able to. Officers contacted the male party and gathered his information. The case will be passed to the Colorado Division of Gaming.

On 7/12/24, at approximately 4:54 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of found drugs. A baggie of apparent psilocybin mushrooms was collected and booked for destruction. A report was completed.

On 7/12/24, at approximately 8:08 p.m., officers responded to The Lodge Casino on a welfare check. The party was contacted and did not need any assistance.

On 7/12/24, at approximately 6:12 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with a rear plate missing tabs in the 6000 block of Highway 119. Upon stopping, the plate was the driver of a car she had recently owned, and they believed that she had to have a plate belonging to her vehicle until the car was registered. Resolution: Educational opportunity on Colorado plates and Warning about using the fictitious plate. The plate was removed on the stop, and the owner was allowed to keep it as it was in their name.

On 7/12/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an enraged guest. The guest was experiencing a mental health crisis and was transported to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.

On 7/12/24, at approximately 9:59 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on the report of an ID Check. A fake ID was confiscated.

On 7/12/24, at approximately 11:59 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with defective tail lights. The driver was able to fix his tail lights and the officer released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 12:15 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had their headlamps off when they were required. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 12:21 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 12:28 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a male party who urinated in public. Officers arrived and were given a description of the male party by casino staff. Officers located the male party at The Lodge and he was issued a summons.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 1:56 a.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of trespassing. The subject was unable to be located and a report was completed.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 2:40 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights and a turn signal violation occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 3:04 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino parking garage on a report of a theft. Officers contacted a female party and gathered her information. The female party returned the money to the casino. A report has been taken and passed to the Division of Gaming.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 7:25 a.m., officers called in a welfare check for a man that was asleep in his vehicle. After clearing the individual's name, he came back with a revoked license. The officer informed the individual of the revocation and told him he was not allowed to sleep in his vehicle on private property. Case status was cleared and the body worn camera was activated.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 7:45 a.m., officers called in a welfare check for a woman that was sleeping in her vehicle. The woman was advised that the businesses do not prefer guests to sleep on private property. Case status was cleared and a body worn camera was activated.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 11:28 a.m., an officer conducted a stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction on Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver was issued a summons and no further action was taken. A body worn camera was activated.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and mile marker 5.5. The driver was driving a 50cc scooter on the highway. The driver was advised not to drive on the highway and was given a warning.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 12:08 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop. The driver was issued a summons.

On 7/13/24, a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The vehicle disregarded a red light at the stop light on Gregory Street and Main Street. The driver was issued a warning.

On 7/13/24, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop for a red light. The driver was given a verbal warning. A field interview report was completed.

On 7/13/24, at 7:52 p.m., officers observed a vehicle without license plates at the intersection of Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was given a warning.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 8:17 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate. The driver also did not have valid insurance. The officer later released the driver with a citation.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 8:44 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a silver Jeep Cherokee turn onto Highway 119 from Miners Road. The vehicle did not use its turn signal when changing lanes and driving at a high rate of speed. Officers performed a traffic stop and the driver was given a verbal warning.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 9:48 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plate displayed occurring at Gregory Street and Main Street. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.

On 7/13/24, at approximately 10:25 p.m, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Saratoga Casino on a Disturbance report. Officers spoke to the involved parties and determined that neither of the involved parties wanted to press charges. Parties were separated and a report has been taken.

On 7/14/24, at approximately 3:47 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a trespassing call. A subject was contacted, determined not to be restricted from the property, and released. A field interview report was completed.

On 7/14/24, an officer observed a fictitious plate attached to a vehicle in the Dakota Lot. The driver of the vehicle was located and arrested on a felony warrant as well as new drug-related charges.

On 7/14/24, officers reviewed a REDDI Report, the vehicle was located in the 400 block of Main Street, the driver was released on a warning.

On 7/14/24, at approximately 10:51 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying an obstructed license plate occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/14/24, at approximately 11:13 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring at Richman Street and Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/15/24, at approximately 12:23 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle associated with a warrant at 7800 Highway 119. The subject of the warrant was arrested and a report was completed.

On 7/15/24, an officer responded to the Monarch garage on the report of a hit and run. A suspect was identified.

On 7/15/24, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to The Lodge Casino on a trespassed party. The party was contacted and issued a Municipal Summons.

On 7/15/24, an officer took a cold fraud report that occurred at the Ameristar Casino.

On 7/15/24, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino surveillance department, where he witnessed a possible Domestic Violence incident that was not reported while investigating another call.

On 7/15/24, officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 119 and Gregory Street in Black Hawk, Colorado. The vehicle appeared to be rolling slowly into the intersection and then stopped while the light was red. All four of the vehicle's tires had passed the white stop line located at the intersection. Officers drove past the vehicle at the intersection and observed the driver on what appeared to be a cell phone. A verbal warning was given to the driver.

On 7/16/24, officers contacted two parties in the Monarch parking garage in a verbal altercation in a parked vehicle. No crimes were determined to have occurred. A field interview report was completed.

On 7/16/24, at approximately 11:41 a.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill passed at the main cage. The suspect was contacted and the bill was seized. Information was taken for the report.

On 7/16/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino to assist with a lockout. The temporary tag on the vehicle was fictitious, and it was confiscated.

On 7/16/24, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a disturbance that was referred to a Detective and is under further investigation.

On 7/16/24, at approximately 4:41 p.m., officers were asked to jumpstart a vehicle and provide gas at the Dakota Lot. Gas was provided but they were not able to jump the vehicle.

On 7/17/24, at approximately 4:40 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle also displayed an expired temporary tag dating back to January of 2024. The officer later issued the driver a citation for the expired temporary tag.

On 7/17/24, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Bull Durham Casino on the report of an irritated guest refusing to leave the casino. The party later left the property and a report was taken.

On 7/17/24, at approximately 7:46 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a registration violation. The driver was given a warning.

On 7/17/24, at approximately 9:34 p.m., Black Hawk officers received a phone report about a harassment that occurred on 7/12/24 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Officers spoke to the victim and attempted to contact the suspect. This investigation is ongoing.

On 7/17/24, at approximately 11:01 p.m., officers responded to a hotel room inside of Monarch for a possible domestic dispute. The male was taken to jail for violation of a protection order.

On 7/18/24, at approximately 7:18 a.m., a Black Hawk Police officer stopped for a welfare check in the Lady Luck Casino parking garage because an individual was sleeping in their vehicle. The individual was informed she is not allowed to sleep in the garage. A body worn camera was activated.

On 7/18/24, at approximately 10:58 a.m., an officer completed a phone report for lost property.

On 7/18/24, Black Hawk Public Works notified the Black Hawk Police Department of damage to a light pole in the 300 block of Main Street. It is unclear when the damage occurred. A report was taken.

On 7/18/24, at approximately 12:53 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Gregory for a welfare check and made contact with a male party sleeping on the ground.

On 7/18/24, at approximately 1:44 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs. An unknown white powder substance was seized and transported back to the police department, where it was booked into safekeeping to be destroyed.

On 7/18/24, we were asked to assist the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office on a UAS (drone) operation for a search warrant they were conducting in their jurisdiction. We completed the operation and provided photographs and video for their investigation.

On 7/18/24, at approximately 4:55 p.m., officers responded to a medical call at the intersection of Highway 119 and Richman. A medical patient was transported.

On 7/18/24, at approximately 9:24 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring at the 6100 block of Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/18/24, at approximately 10:18 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Gregory Street in Central City to assist Gilpin Ambulance Authority medics and Central City Fire Department firefighters with an intoxicated party. The subject was cleared by medics but requested to be transported to the hospital after a courtesy transport. The subject was found to have warrants but could not be accepted at the Gilpin County Jail due to their level of intoxication. The subject was transported to detox and a report was completed.

On 7/19/24, at approximately 5:10 p.m., officers stopped a car with a stolen plate. The plate did belong to the car and driver and the driver was released.

On 7/19/24, at approximately 5:28 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no plates attached. The driver was later issued a Gilpin County summons.

On 7/19/24, at approximately 6:23 p.m., officers responded to JKQ Barbeque on the report of a party trying to sell items without a permit. The restaurant wished the individual to leave the property. The party was given a warning.

On 7/19/24, at approximately 7:33 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino on the report of a TITO Theft. Officers later identified a suspect and returned the victim her money.

On 7/19/24, at approximately 8:04 p.m., officers contacted an individual in relation to a gaming crime at the Ameristar Casino. The individual had an unrelated warrant and was arrested for the warrant.

On 7/19/24, at approximately 10:39 p.m., an officer took a report of a potential theft of license plates via phone. Upon investigation, it was determined the incident did not occur in Black Hawk. The victim was referred to a different police department to file the report. A report was completed.

On 7/20/24, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of a trespassed party that was inside the casino. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the female party. The female party was issued a municipal summons.

On 7/20/24, at approximately 3:11 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch parking garage on a report of a non-injury accident. A driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.

On 7/19/24, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers called in a well-fare check at the gazebos located on 100 Gregory Street to check on a dog left alone. Shortly after arrival, the owner returned to retrieve the pet. Body worn cameras were activated.

On 7/20/24, officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino on the report of a disturbance. A male stated he was assaulted. A review of surveillance determined no crime occurred.

On 7/20/24, at approximately 10:31 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a red light violation occurring at Miners Road and Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/21/24, at approximately 11:20 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that ran a red light. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 7/21/24, at approximately 12:45 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Hotel on a report of a disturbance. After investigation, nothing criminal was determined to have occurred. Officers spoke to a female staff member who reported her bag was stolen from the female team member restroom. A suspect has not been identified at this time.

On 7/21/24, at approximately 3:06 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no front plate occurring on the 100 block of Richman Street. The vehicle was entered as a vehicle of interest by the Broomfield Police Department. The occupants were identified and the driver was issued a verbal warning. A field interview report was completed.

On 7/21/24, an officer was dispatched to The Lodge Casino for found property. A report was taken.

On 7/21/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department collected a found firearm at the Monarch Casino. The firearm was made safe and booked into evidence for safekeeping.

On 7/21/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on the 300 block of Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning for speed.

On 7/21/24, at approximately 7:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino. The Monarch Buffet manager reported that a couple came into the buffet restaurant and got a plate of food without paying. When confronted by the manager, the couple left still without paying.

On 7/21/24, at approximately 7:21 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino parking garage on a disturbance report. The male suspect ran before the police arrived but was contacted and arrested the following day.

On 7/22/24, officers responded to the 300 block of Main Street in Black Hawk,Colorado, regarding a party that was laying on the ground and could not get up. There was also a small amount of blood. Officers arrived and made a report while medics took the scene over.

On 7/22/24, at approximately 1:41 a.m., officers responded to the Z Casino on a report of found drugs. There is no camera coverage to identify a suspect.

On 7/22/24, at approximately 5:38 p.m., officers were dispatched to a suspicious incident. Dispatch advised that a female had called stating that a male had attempted to grab a young child and entice her to come underneath the Miners Road bridge. Contact was made with the male and child and all appeared normal.

On 7/23/24, officers responded to a drug violation at the Lodge Casino. On scene, they contacted the suspect who ran and resisted arrest. The suspect was placed into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 7/23/24, officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino regarding a party refusing to leave. An arrest was made and a report was taken.

On 7/23/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle displaying expired registration and speeding. The driver was released on a warning.

On 7/23/24, an officer responded to 7320 Black Hawk Boulevard for a vehicle hit-and-run incident. A report was taken.

On 7/23/24, at approximately 9:40 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino parking lot on level two, for a vehicle that had backed into another vehicle. On scene, there was no damage to either car.

On 7/23/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino in regards to a dine and dash incident. One of the parties was identified and was tracked to a hotel room in the Monarch. The Monarch will charge the card linked with the hotel room.

On 7/24/24, officers responded to the Gold Mountain Village Apartments for an assist to another agency regarding a disturbance. A report was taken.

On 7/24/24, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the post office. An officer on scene learned a delivery driver had dumped pallets of packages off the back of their truck. Through video, it was also observed that there was a lot of damage to the packages. The driver of the delivery truck had a physical altercation with a postal team member. The driver of the truck had left the scene and was shortly located and cited.

On 7/24/24, an officer responded to the Black Hawk Police Department for a citizen contact. The party was found to have an active warrant and was transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 7/24/24, at approximately 11:04 a.m., an officer contacted a dog walking service company at the end of Chase Street. The company was advised to park at the Hidden Treasure parking lot in the future.

On 7/24/24, at approximately 11:43 a.m., officers responded to the Gregory Street Plaza on the report of an unwanted party asking for money from nearby businesses. The party was located and provided with bus transportation back to the Metro area.

On 7/24/24, at approximately 1:49 p.m., an officer took a theft report at the police department. The theft was investigated, and a suspect was identified. The case remains open.

On 7/24/24, at approximately 6:54 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 7/24/24, at approximately 9:36 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for unauthorized flashing green lights occurring at the 6100 block of Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/24/24, at approximately 9:46 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary permit and failure to display headlights occurring on Highway 119 at Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/25/24, at approximately 12:05 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of harassment. Nothing criminal was determined to have occurred. A report was completed.

On 7/25/24, at approximately 12:59 a.m., officers responded to a REDDI report from the Ameristar Casino. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was arrested on outstanding warrants and issued a summons. A report was completed.

On 7/25/24, at approximately 4:48 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a theft. Security located the suspect and the stolen bag. The bag was returned to the victim who did not want to press any charges. Suspect was trespassed from the casino.

On 7/25/24, at approximately 7 a.m., officers received a trespassing call at the Horseshoe Casino. On scene, the male suspect was contacted and subsequently arrested on felony drug charges, unlawful possession of a financial device, trespassing and had an active warrant out of Gilpin County.

On 7/25/24, at approximately 2:12 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar parking garage on the report of a male party attempting to break into a vehicle that he claimed to own. Officers contacted the male party and determined he was the owner of the vehicle.

On 7/25/24, at approximately 7:33 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle that was going 30 mph in a 45 mph zone in the 5800 block of Highway 119. They were also impeding a line of traffic of ten-plus vehicles. The driver was given a warning.

On 7/25/24, at approximately 8:26 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of public indecency. A suspect was later identified and issued a summons.

On 7/25/24, at approximately 11:53 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with an expired temporary tag from 5/23/24 on Highway 119 at Miners Road. The driver was issued a summons.

On 7/26/24, at approximately 1:21 a.m., officers contacted a vehicle in relation to an arrest warrant at the Z Casino parking lot located at 155 Selak Street. The subject provided a false name to officers and was later arrested and positively identified on the outstanding warrant by another agency. Additional criminal charges are pending.

On 7/26/24, at approximately 4:47 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on an ordinance violation. A suspect was identified but charges were not pursued. A report was completed.

On 7/26/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle run a stop sign in the 100 block Selak Street. The driver was issued a warning.

On 7/26/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a one-way roadway violation that occurred at Selak Street and Highway 119. The driver was released on a warning.

On 7/26/24, at approximately 1:56 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding found property. Property was collected from the scene and transported to the Black Hawk Police Department where it was booked in for safekeeping.

On 7/26/24, at approximately 8:06 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle that was observed carelessly driving at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was given a warning.

On 7/26/24, at approximately 9:41 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding on Main street. The driver was later released with a verbal warning.

On 7/26/24, at approximately 11:18 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no headlamps activated. The driver was later issued a verbal warning.

On 7/27/24, at approximately 12:01 a.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The driver was later issued a verbal warning.

On 7/27/24, at approximately 1:16 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a trespassed party on the gaming floor. Officers contacted the male suspect and he was issued a municipal summons and escorted off property.

On 7/27/24, at approximately 2:14 a.m., officers were contacted about possible narcotic usage in a restroom at the Ameristar Casino. There was not sufficient evidence of a crime. A report was taken.

On 7/27/24, officers responded to a female who was distraught in the Ameristar Hotel lobby. She was stranded in Black Hawk by her boyfriend. After investigation, nothing criminal was discovered and the female was given a courtesy ride to the bus stop.

On 7/27/24, at approximately 4:39 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report for a welfare check. Officers were informed that a female party was stating that a male party battered her. Officers contacted two female parties and a male party and determined that the reporting female party was only involved in a verbal altercation.

On 7/27/24, at approximately 6:44 a.m., an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a vehicle trespass.

On 7/27/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding and no visible license plate. The violation occurred at the intersection of Gregory Street and Highway 119. The driver was issued a warning.

On 7/27/24, at approximately 11:33 a.m., officers received a phone report in reference to a cold theft at the Monarch Hotel. No suspect has been identified.

On 7/27/24, at approximately 12:44 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on level 4 of the Lady Luck parking garage.

On 7/27/24, at approximately 4:29 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had passengers in the bed of the truck. The passengers exited the bed of the truck and were seated in the cabin of the truck. The officer released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 7/27/24, at approximately 7:48 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle with no license plates at Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver had recently purchased the vehicle and was released.

On 7/27/24, at approximately 10:49 p.m., officers responded to the Saratoga parking garage on a report of a disturbance. A subject was detained on an outstanding warrant and released after a jail refusal. A report was completed.

On 7/28/24, at approximately 2:44 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring at the 6000 block of Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 7/28/24, at approximately 3:41 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring at the 6000 block of Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.

On 7/28/24, at approximately 4:20 a.m., an officer responded to a report of a theft occurring at the Monarch Casino. A suspect was identified and a report was completed.

On 7/28//24, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle with expired temporary registration and lack of taillights. The driver of the vehicle was released with a warning.

On 7/28/24, at approximately 12:15 p.m., officers took a phone report of a hit and run that occurred in the Monarch garage earlier in the day. An investigation is ongoing.

On 7/28/24, at approximately 5:19 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino for a report of a lost ring. Surveillance tracked the person who found the ring and it was returned to the owner.

On 7/28/24, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department were dispatched to Bally's North Casino on a report of a trespassed party on the property. The party was contacted and issued a summons for trespassing.

On 7/29/24, at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers took a phone report of a theft of money at the Monarch Casino. The investigation is ongoing.

On 7/29/24, an officer responded to an ID check at the Monarch Casino. The guest willingly provided their information and was cleared as an adult. No criminal action was taken and a report was completed.

On 7/29/24, at approximately 5:01 a.m., officers initiated a traffic stop in the 300 block of Gregory Street. The driver was given a warning for speeding and released.

On 7/29/24, at approximately 8:24 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a trespass. The female suspect was contacted and told she was no longer allowed in the casino. The casino did not want her charged this time.

On 7/29/24, officers were dispatched to the Saratoga Casino regarding a trespassing incident. A citation was issued and a report was taken.

On 7/29/24, at approximately 11:54 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a male who presented two different IDs. The male party was asked by his cousin, who was gaming at the time, to get the cousin a player's card. He later cashed out with his ID, which caused concern. The male party was advised he could not get a player card for his cousin in the future. The issue was resolved.

On 7/30/24, at approximately 4:19 a.m., officers responded to a welfare check at the Ameristar Casino. On scene, they spoke with an adult male who was distraught that his property had been taken from a couple he spent the day with in the casino. The male had been staying up in Black Hawk and didn't have a permanent address. He was put in contact with Victim Assistance to offer support and additional investigation is being completed.

On 7/30/24, at approximately 11:16 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle for not having any plates in the 6000 block of Highway 119. Upon stopping, the driver did have a title that was signed with a bill of sale and insurance and was released on a warning.

On 7/31/24, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding a REDDI report. A party was contacted and placed under arrest. A report was taken.

On 7/30/24, an officer was contacted by a driver at Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver stated that a party had thrown a water bottle at his truck while entering Black Hawk city limits. A report was taken.

On 7/30/24, at approximately 1:05 p.m., an employee of the Monarch Casino stole money from another employee in the locker room. The offender admitted to taking the money and gave it to law enforcement. The offender was cited for theft.
