Black Hawk Police report, August 2023

On 8/1/23, at approximately 12:38 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Lady Luck Casino for an indecent exposure call occurring on the smoking patio near the TaCo Cantina. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim and took a report. The suspect had fled from the scene prior to the officer's arrival.

On 8/1/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to Bally's North Casino on a report of found drugs. The baggie was booked into evidence.

On 8/1/23, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers heard an audible security alarm from the Green Solution. Upon their initial investigation, an exterior door lock had come unlocked but was still secured. There were no signs of forced entry, and all entrances were checked and secured. Dispatch contacted the keyholders and the alarm was turned off remotely.

On 8/1/23, at approximately 10:46 p.m., officers responded to the Dakota parking lot on reports of stolen phones. After their investigation, it was determined that a female party did in fact steal two cellular devices. The suspect is unknown at this time as she was observed entering a vehicle with out of state plates and departing the area.

On 8/1/23, at approximately 9:54 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino on the report of harassment. Black Hawk officers later called medics and medics later transported a female party to the hospital due to drug use.

On 8/2/23, at 7 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of drugs found the previous night on the gaming floor of the Ameristar Casino. Trace amounts of evidence were seized and booked for destruction. A suspect was unable to be identified.

On 8/2/23, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Gilpin Casino on a report of a lost cell phone. Surveillance was unable to find footage of the cell phone being stolen.

On 8/2/23, at approximately 10:26 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Hotel and Casino on a reported prior trespass. Officers made contact with the party, issued a Municipal summons, and the party was escorted off property.

On 8/2/23, Black Hawk officers assisted the Colorado State Patrol with a vehicle which had an attempt to locate attached. The vehicle was located on the fourth floor of the Monarch Casino parking garage. The vehicle was towed, an arrest was made, and a report was taken.

On 8/3/23, at 12:08 a.m., Black Hawk officers recovered a stolen vehicle out of the Monarch Casino parking garage located at 488 Main Street. Suspects are still being attempted to be identified.

On 8/3/23, at approximately 4:29 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino to check on an ID. Black Hawk officers later contacted a male party with an invalid identification card and later escorted him off property.

On 8/3/23, an officer was conducting an area check at the Horseshoe Casino when he contacted two parties who were possibly involved in a theft. The parties identified themselves and were not the suspects involved in the case. On 8/3/23, at 12:17 p.m., a Black Hawk officer was dispatched to the Ameristar parking garage, on a report of a confrontation. A suspect was identified and issued a summons.

On 8/3/23, at approximately 5:55 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino for a reported trespassed individual. The individual was found to have a protection order and was cited for violating the protection order.

On 8/3/23, an officer responded to the Bull Durham Casino in regard to a theft incident. A report was taken.

On 8/4/23, at approximately 10:24 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle that was driving carelessly at Highway 119 and Main Street. Upon contact, the driver was revoked. A citation was issued.

On 8/3/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a theft. A backpack was reported stolen out of the women's employee locker room. Surveillance did not see the bag leave the locker room at any point.

On 8/4/23, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile marker 5.8 Highway 119. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning.

On 8/4/23, at 6:34 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the 200 block of Main Street. The driver was released on a verbal warning.

On 8/4/23, at 8:53 a.m., officers checked on the welfare of occupants of a motor vehicle parked along Highway 119 by mile marker 8.5. One of the occupants was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

On 8/4/23, at 11:19 a.m., Black Hawk officers arrived at the Ameristar Casino to take a report of theft. Information was collected and an investigation is ongoing.

On 8/4/23, at 12:26 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino parking garage on a report of a traffic accident. A summons was issued to a driver.

On 8/4/23, officers responded to a report of suspected harassment at the Lodge Casino. A male subject was contacted, trespassed from the casino, and escorted off the property.

On 8/4/23, at 5:47 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle that ran a stop sign at Miners Street and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 8/4/23, at approximately 9:48 p.m., officers became aware of a party who had outstanding warrants. The party was located at the Ameristar and subsequently arrested for outstanding warrants.

On 8/4/23, at approximately 10:22 p.m., Black Hawk officers made contact with a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Hidden Treasure Trailhead. The occupant of the vehicle was advised he could not be in the lot between sunset and sunrise.

On 8/4/23, officers responded to mile marker 7 of Highway 119 in regard to a group of people who climbed up the mountain. Officers were able to contact the group and notified them that what they were doing was dangerous. The group left the scene.

On 8/5/23, at approximately 12:06 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 401 Chase Street on a report of a suspicious incident. Upon arrival, the RP advised she believed someone had entered her bedroom while she was gone and that the person moved an item. Officers checked the interior and exterior and did not locate anything suspicious.

On 8/5/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a chip theft. Officers collected victim and suspect information for an Assist Other Agency call. The information about the case was passed on to the Colorado Division of Gaming.

On 8/5/23, officers observed a vehicle parked at 900 Miners Street. The vehicle was contacted and the owner was advised there is no camping in Black Hawk.

On 8/5/23, at 6:37 a.m., officers responded to the area of mile marker 4 on Highway 119 to check the welfare of a subject. It was determined the subject was a victim of a crime occurring in unincorporated Gilpin County. Gilpin County Sheriff's Deputies responded. Black Hawk officers attempted to locate a suspect but were unable to. The investigation has been forwarded to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office.

On 8/5/23, at 7:04 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the lobby of the Horseshoe Casino and Hotel to assist an individual who had lost their vehicle. The vehicle was found and the owner was reunited with it.

On 8/5/23, at 8:01 a.m., officers checked the welfare of the occupants of a vehicle parked in the Lady Luck parking garage, located at 333 Main Street. The occupants checked out okay.

On 8/5/23, at 9:15 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino, on a report of an unwanted party and harassment. Officers conducted an investigation and a victim declined to press charges. The party was removed without incident.

On 8/5/23, an officer confiscated a counterfeit $100 bill at the Ameristar Casino.

On 8/5/23, at approximately 4:51 a.m., Black Hawk officers located a stolen vehicle parked in the Dakota Lot located at 245 Main Street. The suspect was located and subsequently arrested.

On 8/5/23, officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. A female was contacted and the bill was collected.

On 8/5/23, officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle driving without headlights. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 8/5/23, officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 near the water treatment plant (near mile marker 6). The driver of the vehicle was observed to be on their phone while operating a motor vehicle and while the vehicle was in motion. A verbal warning was given to the driver. 

On 8/6/23, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in regard to assisting the Division of Gaming. A suspect was identified, and a report was taken.

On 8/6/23, Black Hawk officers were at the Ameristar Casino when security advised a female party tried to pass a Colorado Driver's License that was not hers to get onto the gaming floor. The female suspect left the property before officers could contact and identify her. A male that was with the female was identified. The case is still active.

On 8/6/23, at approximately 1:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Bally's garage on a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival officers learned that the suspect had pushed the CSM. Suspect was issued a ticket for harassment.

On 8/6/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a gaming call. Due to the Colorado Division of Gaming not being officers, officers contacted a party who was reporting the casino would not give him a jackpot due to him not having another form of ID than the My Colorado APP. The casino agreed to hold the jackpot until the party could return with a valid physical form of ID.

On 8/6/23, officers responded to a call of a trespass. Upon arrival, officers contacted the male who casino employees believed was trespassing. The male had not been trespassed and was actually an employee at the casino.

On 8/6/23, an officer responded to the Monarch parking garage, for a verbal disturbance. Involved parties were contacted and a report was taken.

On 8/6/23, at 9:59 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on a possible fraudulent occurrence that occurred on the smoker's patio of the Ameristar Casino. Upon further investigation, the situation was deemed civil, and a police report was filed.

On 8/6/23, at approximately 10:14 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a fake ID. Officers later arrested a suspect on warrants.

On 8/7/23, at approximately 2:15 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on an agency assist call for the Division of Gaming. Upon arrival, officers obtained the suspect's name, and contact information and gave the party a case report number to refer to.

On 8/7/23, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department took a report on a theft of a purse. Surveillance reviewed video footage of the incident and found two involved parties. At this time, the suspects have not been identified. This case will remain open for further investigation.

On 8/7/23, an officer responded to the Lodge Casino, for a reported stolen cell phone. Upon investigation completion, no theft occurred as reported. A report was taken.

On 8/7/23, a Black Hawk officer responded to the 300 block of Main Street, for a property damage incident. The driver was located and issued a summons.

On 8/7/23, at approximately 12:07 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of an assault. A female suspect was later located and issued a summons for harassment.

On 8/7/23, at approximately 9 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a suspicious persons call. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect and conducted an investigation leading to the suspect being charged with criminal mischief. The male suspect was cited and trespassed from property.

On 8/8/23, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a stolen cell phone. Officers conducted an investigation and were unable to locate the cell phone.

On 8/8/23, an officer took a report on a traffic accident that damaged property. The damage was photographed and a CIRSA form was completed. 

On 8/8/23, an officer located two vehicles parked in the 100 block of Clear Creek Street, which had been issued a red tag for being abandoned with expired registration. Both vehicles were impounded. 

On 8/8/23, at approximately 1:58 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a party trespassing. A female suspect was located and issued a citation. 

On 8/8/23, at approximately 10:52 p.m., an officer was dispatched to 401 Main Street on a lost property call for a lost wallet. Upon arrival, the officer requested surveillance to conduct a review of security footage to determine the last location of the wallet. 

On 8/9/23, at approximately 6:59 a.m., officers checked on the welfare of a semi-truck and tractor-trailer pulled over on northbound Highway 119 around mile marker 6. The driver of the semi checked okay and officers cleared with a field interview report. 

On 8/9/23, at approximately 7:21 a.m., officers contacted a suspicious vehicle on the 5th floor of the Lady Luck Hotel parking garage, located at 333 Main Street. The occupants of the vehicle were identified and officers cleared with a field interview report. 

On 8/9/23, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119. Officers released the driver on a warning. 

On 8/9/23, at approximately 3:37 p.m., officers took a call of a dine-and-dash at the Monarch Casino. A suspect was cited. 

On 8/9/23, officers responded to the Dakota Lot located at 245 Main Street on a REDDI Report. The driver was located and followed to mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119 where a traffic stop was conducted. The driver was not impaired and was released from the scene. A FI was completed. 

On 8/10/23, at approximately 2:53 a.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino on the report of several unwanted male parties refusing to leave the property. Upon arrival, the male parties were spoken to and advised they were not allowed on the property. All five male parties left willingly. 

On 8/10/23, officers checked the welfare of a vehicle occupant at the Bally's parking garage, located at 255 Main Street. The occupant checked okay and officers cleared with a field interview report. 

On 8/10/23, officers took a report over the phone of a lost property occurring at the Lady Luck Casino. Information was collected, and an investigation is ongoing. 

On 8/10/23, at approximately 12:52 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic offense on Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver of the vehicle was issued a summons. 

On 8/11/23, an officer responded to the Wild Card Casino on the report of a female possibly smoking drugs in the restroom. Suspect was contacted and denied she was doing any drugs. 

On 8/10/23, at approximately 4:22 p.m., officers spotted a vehicle with a fictitious license plate at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a warning due to the totality of the circumstances and the plate was seized.

On 8/10/23, at approximately 6:35 p.m., officers responded to Bally's parking garage located at 300 Main Street for a hit-and-run crash. The suspect was located and cited. 

On 8/10/23, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle inside the Dakota Lot. Officers contacted the driver and issued them a summons for no insurance and expired plates. 

On 8/10/23, at approximately 10:10 p.m., officers contacted a vehicle that was on a private road called Avenue of Allstars. The driver was warned of trespassing. 

On 8/10/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of suspicious phone calls. A report was taken.

On 8/11/23, officers were stopped by a male while on a walk at the Monarch Casino. The male wanted to report a stolen cell phone. A report was taken, and a suspect was identified.

On 8/11/23, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a suspicious activity. Upon arrival, officers learned that a guest was claiming he was shoved by a casino employee. A review of the surveillance footage showed that there was no shoving by the employee but they may have brushed against the guest as he moved from the front of the podium to the back. No charges applicable. The guest was asked to leave.

On 8/11/23, at approximately 7:11 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on the 200 block of Main Street for a traffic violation. The driver was released with a verbal warning and officers took a field interview report. 

On 8/11/23, at approximately 11:31 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation at Highway 119 mile marker 8.5. The driver was released on a warning and a field interview report was taken. 

On 8/11/23, at approximately 11:49 a.m., officers took a report at the police department for property found at the Hidden Treasure Trailhead. The item was recovered, and a report was completed. 

On 8/11/23, officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a dine-and-dash that occurred. The suspect was located and cited. 

On 8/11/23, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of harassment. The officer contacted two casino employees who stated a male cussed and threatened them. They also reported he threw a drink at them. Officers are still trying to identify the suspect in this case. 

On 8/11/23, Ameristar surveillance called in a DUI REDDI REPORT. Officers located the vehicle, observed the vehicle weave, and conducted a traffic stop. The subject failed the roadsides and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. 

On 8/12/23, officers were dispatched to a report of a hit-and-run accident that occurred overnight at the Horseshoe Casino parking garage. A suspect has yet to be identified. 

On 8/12/23, officers were called to check the welfare of an individual in numerous locations on Main Street and Richman Street. The individual was identified and checked okay. Mental health resources were offered to the individual and their family members and officers cleared with a field interview report. 

On 8/12/23, officers were approached by a party who wanted to report a vehicle break-in at the Monarch Casino. The male stated $1000 worth of goods had been taken from his vehicle that was parked inside the Monarch Garage. Officers informed surveillance who are actively conducting a review to identify possible suspects. 

On 8/12/23, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a suicidal party. The officers contacted the male in a hotel room and the male appeared to not be a danger to himself or others. He was given a business card and advised to call if he needed to talk to someone. 

On 8/12/23, an officer responded to Bally's West Casino on the report of a female party who groped a male party. A suspect was identified and will be issued a summons for unlawful sexual contact. 

On 8/12/23, officers conducted a traffic stop for failure to maintain the lane. A verbal warning was given, and a FI was completed. 

On 8/12/23, officers responded to a medical call where a male had fallen on Main Street and was currently lying in the roadway. Medical personnel responded and transported the male to the hospital. 

On 8/12/23, officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a male gambling with no identification. The male was contacted. A report was completed. 

On 8/12/23, officers were dispatched to Bally's North Casino located at 300 Main Street in regard to a harassment incident. A ticket was issued and a report was taken. 

On 8/13/23, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino in reference to a disturbance. Officers learned that a guest was upset because of how the casino handled a mistake. The guest yelled a few profanities at the dealer and then the guest was asked to leave. 

On 8/13/23, at approximately 6:52 p.m., officers responded to the Bull Durham Casino on the report of a minor on the gaming floor. 

On 8/13/23, at approximately 8:08 p.m., officers responded to 111 Richman Street on a report of a woman asking a male if he wanted sex for money. Officers' investigation found the allegations were not true. However, the woman had a warrant. She was transported to the Gilpin County Jail and booked in on the warrant. 

On 8/13/23, at approximately 9:36 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street for a welfare check on a woman who fainted and was laying in the middle of the street. Upon arrival, it was determined that the women had been having fainting spells and hitting her head. She was transported to St. Anthony's Medical via medics. 

On 8/14/23, at approximately 3:23 p.m., officers responded to the Wild Card Casino on the report of a theft. A possible male suspect has been identified. 

On 8/14/23, at approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to Saratoga Casino located at 101 Main Street on the report of a fraudulent bill trying to be cashed in at the main cash cage. Upon arrival, officers interviewed the suspect, confiscated the bill, and filed a report. 

On 8/15/23, at approximately 2:43 a.m., officers were on a foot patrol at the Monarch Casino when a report came in stating that a cell phone was stolen. Officers later located a suspect and issued him a ticket and he was trespassed from Monarch property. 

On 8/15/23, at approximately 5:01 a.m., an officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino on the report of a theft. The officer was unable to identify the suspect or identify a plate on the vehicle. Investigations are pending. 

On 8/15/23, an officer responded to a cold damage property report at the Lodge Casino located at 240 Main Street. The case remains open for further investigation. 

On 8/15/23, at approximately 3:42 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 300 block of Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and released. 

On 8/15/23, at approximately 5:33 p.m., officers responded to the Dakota parking lot on the report of suspicious activity. A male party was contacted and an investigation concluded that no criminal activity occurred. 

On 8/15/23, officers responded to the Carriage House parking lot located at 270 Gregory Street for suspicious activity. The male party left his tools lying outside of his vehicle and walked into the stairwell. The male was told he could not work on his vehicle in the parking lot, and he left. 

On 8/15/23, at approximately 8:54 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a fake ID. Officers later spoke with the suspect and seized the fake ID. 

On 8/16/23, at approximately 12:35 a.m., officers were dispatched to Lodge Casino on an assist of a Division of Gaming call referring to a patron being on the casino floor without any identification. Responding officers obtained the party's name and contact information and requested a report number to provide to the party. 

On 8/16/23, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a stolen wallet. A suspect was identified. 

On 8/16/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino located at 488 Main Street on a report of a counterfeit. The bill was collected and booked into evidence. 

On 8/16/23 at approximately 2:04 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. A male party was contacted and a counterfeit bill was seized. 

On 8/12/23, an officer was approached by a male party stating that his phone was stolen from the Monarch Casino. After a surveillance review, a suspect was identified and will be charged with theft. 

On 8/16/23, officers spotted an individual with a warrant in the 100 block of Main Street, the party was arrested. 

On 8/17/23, officers were in the Dakota Lot when they noticed a person in a vehicle. It appeared that person was asleep and was contacted. The person was told that they could not camp in Black Hawk. 

On 8/17/23, at approximately 5:45 a.m., officers contacted a subject in the parking garage of the Monarch Casino on a report of public indecency. The subject was issued a summons for several charges and released. 

On 8/17/23, at approximately 2:02 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of Highway 119 and Miners Road to check the welfare of a party. The party checked okay and all cars cleared with no further action taken. 

On 8/17/23, an officer responded to the City Hall parking lot on the report of a vehicle parked illegally and facing the wrong way on Selak Street. The driver of the vehicle was working at the Sasquatch Casino and parked that way to haul heavy materials. He moved his vehicle upon request. 

On 8/17/23, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a party thought to have been involved in a crime that occurred in the city of Aurora. The party that was contacted was not the party involved in the crime. The suspect was stopped on Highway 119 and Gregory Street. 

On 8/17/23, at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the report of found narcotics at the Lady Luck Casino. The substance was collected for destruction. 

On 8/17/23, at approximately 7:20 p.m., a suspect who was identified traded in a fake bus ticket for cash at the Gilpin Casino located at 111 Main Street. The suspect was cited and arrested for outstanding warrants.

On 8/17/23, at approximately 10:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of a fake ID. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect had a fake permanent resident card and had been gambling on the casino floor. 

On 8/18/23, at approximately 1:09 p.m., an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a theft from the smoking patio. A suspect was seen stealing the money. The case remains open. 

On 8/18/23, at approximately 5:47 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle that they saw bearing an expired license plate at 6000 Highway 119 the driver was issued a summons. 

On 8/18/23, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning 

On 8/18/23, at approximately 11:16 p.m., officers assisted Colorado State Patrol with a traffic stop at Highway 119 mile marker 5.8. The driver was arrested for DUI. 

On 8/19/23, officers attempted to stop a vehicle traveling south on Highway 119 at Richman Street for no plates. Officers did not pursue the vehicle as it increased its speed between 25-39 MPH over the posted 35 MPH speed limit. Officers identified the driver and the vehicle involved. Due to safety concerns for the public and department policy officers did not pursue and are writing a warrant for the driver. 

On 8/19/23, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino in regard to a hit-and-run incident. A report was taken. 

On 8/19/23, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was affiliated with a missing person. Officers stopped the vehicle at the 200 block of Main Street. Officers contacted the driver and checked his well-being. He was not a danger to himself or others and Clear Creek Sheriff's Office was informed as the driver was reported missing out of their jurisdiction. 

On 8/19/23, at approximately 1:41 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Main Street in reference to a male who had knocked over a few trash cans and knocked down a couple hanging plants. An officer arrived, but the suspect had fled the scene. 

On 8/19/23, at approximately 2:43 a.m., an officer observed a traffic violation. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, and a summons was issued. 

On 8/19/23, at approximately 10:41 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning. 

On 8/19/23, at approximately 7:37 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle that failed to move over for a stopped emergency vehicle on the shoulder of 6400 Highway 119 NB. The driver was given a verbal warning. 

On 8/19/23, at approximately 9:52 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino for a fake permanent resident card. The card was seized. 

On 8/20/23, officers observed a vehicle with expired registration at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a citation. 

On 8/20/23, officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck Casino Parking Lot located at 333 Main Street Black in regard to a disturbance. A report was taken. 

On 8/20/23, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning. 

On 8/20/23, officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino parking garage area in regard to two parties having intercourse in public. 

On 8/20/23, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers received a phone report regarding a cold theft. A suspect has not yet been identified. 

On 8/20/23, at approximately 5:57 p.m., officers responded to the Isle Casino on a call of a counterfeit $50 bill. The counterfeit was seized and booked into evidence. 

On 8/20/23, at approximately 8:20 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Gregory Street on the report of found property. The property was collected and booked in for safekeeping. 

On 8/21/23, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino to assist the Division of Gaming with a male who had fled from a gaming officer. The male was located and arrested.

On 8/21/23, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a stolen phone. Upon investigation, officers recovered the phone but discovered a different male party that had a felony warrant. The male party was later arrested. 

On 8/21/23, officers responded to High Street and contacted a suspicious male party. The male was later transported to the hospital by medics for a mental health evaluation. 

On 8/21/23, at approximately 12:47 p.m., officers responded to the Dakota parking lot on the report of suspicious activity. A male party in a vehicle was contacted and released from the scene. 

On 8/21/23, an officer received a phone report of a fraud incident at the Monarch Casino located at 488 Main Street. A report was taken. 

On 8/22/23, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a party who was not wanting to leave the casino floor. 

On 8/22/23, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a trespassed party on the property. The female was contacted and issued a summons for trespassing.

On 8/22/23, an officer was patrolling on the 400 block of Main Street when he spotted a party who was laying on a bus stop bench. The officer approached the party and advised him he could not sleep on the bench. 

On 8/22/23, at approximately 12:07 a.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino on the report of a woman who fell in the bar area and was too intoxicated to walk back to the Monarch where her room was. Upon arrival, officers had medics clear the women, and then provided a courtesy ride to the Monarch where she was released to her room on an FI contact. 

On 8/22/23, at approximately 3:04 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning. 

On 8/22/23, at approximately 3:28 a.m., officers responded to Monarch Casino on the report of a disturbance occurring between the Casino CSM and an irate customer. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male customer believed that he was owed money that the casino was refusing to pay. After giving the male party a case number to refer to for CDOG, he was trespassed and escorted off property. 

On 8/22/23, at approximately 3:17 a.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a trespass. The male trespassed party was later contacted and issued a summons.

On 8/22/23, at approximately 6:49 p.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino on the report of a civil problem occurring in the hotel between two men. Upon arrival, an officer spoke to a male party who claimed another male refused to give him back his cell phone. Officers recovered the cellphone and returned it to the owner. No charges were issued. 

On 8/22/23, Black Hawk Police officers responded to Monarch Casino on an Assist of Agency call for Colorado Division of Gaming for an ID check. Upon investigating the document, it was determined to be a fake. Officers confiscated the ID and advised the party that there would be a CDOG investigation. 

On 8/22/23, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Black Hawk Police Department received a call from Monarch surveillance stating that a guest was wanting to report a harassment call against an employee. Upon arrival, officers determined that the harassment never took place, however that the party was too intoxicated to be on the gaming floor. Monarch Casino comped a room for the party to stay in for the night. Cleared with an FI contact.

On 8/23/23, an officer responded to the Lodge Casino for a trespass in progress. Suspect was located and issued a summons. 

On 8/23/23, at approximately 12:48 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no tags on the license plate. The officer later gave the driver a verbal warning and advised them to get a new one as soon as possible. 

On 8/23/23, at approximately 3:55 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a trespassed party. Officers later made contact with the trespassed property and escorted him off property. 

On 8/23/23, at approximately 4:51 a.m., officers responded to Monarch Casino on a call about an active burglary taking place in the Bistro located on the third floor of the casino. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect was no longer on the scene, nothing was broken, and nothing was taken. The suspect exited the building using an exterior staircase and officers were unable to locate. 

On 8/23/23, at approximately 4:56 a.m., officers responded to the Dakota Parking Lot on the report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon investigation, the vehicle was broken. Officers advised the driver to move the vehicle or get it fixed as soon as possible due to the vehicle being parked there for approximately 10 days. 

On 8/23/23, at approximately 6:56 a.m., a motorist was driving recklessly in the canyon and was called in as such. The driver was stopped a short time later and cited by the Colorado State Patrol. 

On 8/23/23, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a found firearm. The firearm was collected and booked into evidence for safe keeping.

On 8/23/23, at approximately 11:50 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a disturbance. A male party was contacted and left the casino without further incident. 

On 8/23/23, an officer observed a party down at the intersection of Main Street and Richman. The party was contacted and medical was called to the scene. 

On 8/23/23, at approximately 2:20 p.m., an officer picked up several found items from the post office. The items were booked into evidence for safe keeping. 

On 8/23/23, at approximately 5:24 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of lost property. 

On 8/23/23, at approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to Monarch Casino on a possible cell phone theft. Upon arrival, it was determined that the cell phone was never stolen, that the reporting party had left it in her roommate's car. Call was cleared as an FI contact. 

On 8/23/23, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an intoxicated party. Officers later asked for medics and medics later transported the intoxicated party to the hospital. 

On 8/24/23, at approximately 12:08 a.m., officers responded to a welfare check at Ameristar Casino of two parties claiming they might have been drugged. Parties refused medical assistance. Upon further investigation, no criminal aspects were present. 

On 8/24/23, at approximately 2 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an assault. A male suspect was later identified and cited for simple assault. 

On 8/24/23, at approximately 1:22 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a hit-and-run traffic accident. 

On 8/24/23, an officer responded to Bally's West Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. Two counterfeit $5 bills were confiscated. 

On 8/24/23, at approximately 7:04 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Main Street and Miners Road for a traffic violation. The driver was issued a summons and officers cleared with a field contact report. 

On 8/24/23, at approximately 9:03 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Saratoga Casino on a report of suspicious activity. A subject was contacted and briefly detained for an outstanding warrant. The subject was released and advised of his warrants after the jail refused to accept the warrant. Officers cleared with a report. 

On 8/24/23, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning for driving without lights and failure to maintain lane. 

On 8/25/23, at approximately 2:16 a.m., officers were called to the Wild Card Casino to check the welfare of a party. The party checked okay and officers cleared with a report. 

On 8/25/23, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a possible stolen vehicle. A report was taken, two female suspects were identified, and the vehicle was recovered in Lakewood, Colorado. 

On 8/25/23, officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run in the Ameristar Casino's parking garage. A suspect was located and cited for hit-and-run. 

On 8/25/23, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Hotel on the report of a child found alone in a room. 

On 8/25/23, at approximately 11:08 p.m., officers contacted a gaming theft suspect on the 300 block of Main Street. The suspect was identified, information was collected and a report was forwarded to the division of gaming. 

On 8/25/23, at approximately 11:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of underage gaming. The underage male was contacted and escorted out of the casino. 

On 8/25/23, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers contacted an individual for an ID check at the Lodge Casino. The subject was found to have an active warrant for their arrest and was transported and booked into the jail. 

On 8/26/23, Black Hawk officers responded to the Sasquatch Casino on a report of a lost wallet. Officers contacted the owner of the wallet and took a report. 

On 8/26/23, at approximately 1:16 a.m., officers checked the welfare of a subject on the 400 block of Main Street. Officers were able to secure the subject a safe ride home and cleared on a field interview report. 

On 8/26/23, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile marker 5 on Highway 119. The driver was contacted and released on a verbal warning. 

On 8/26/23, at approximately 1:57 p.m., an officer responded to the Gilpin Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized and booked into evidence. 

On 8/26/23, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a report of a female party who was disoriented and confused. Officers contacted the female party, evaluated her, and determined she was capable of caring for herself. 

On 8/26/23, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of an assault. Officers contacted the victim who was smacked in the face by another male party. The other male got into a vehicle and left the city before officers could arrive. Officers identified the suspect and the case is active. 

On 8/26/23, at approximately 6:05 p.m., officers took a report of a counterfeit bill at the Lodge Casino. A suspect was contacted and the counterfeit bill was seized. 

On 8/26/23, officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic infraction at Miners Road and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 8/26/23, Black Hawk officers and later Colorado State troopers attempted to stop a vehicle on Richman Street and Main Street. The vehicle took off from officers who did not pursue it due to public safety and department policy. Colorado State Patrol later located the vehicle on Highway 6. Colorado State Patrol attempted to pin the vehicle in but were not able to stop the vehicle that then continued to elude officers down into Golden. Colorado State Patrol and Black Hawk officers were unable to identify who was driving. The car was associated with a burglary of a dwelling in Castle Rock.

On 8/26/23, at approximately 10:45 p.m., an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to drive in a single lane. Driver was stopped and given a verbal warning. 

On 8/26/23, at approximately 10:06 p.m., officers responded to the parking garage of the Ameristar Casino on a report of a traffic accident. A driver was issued a summons and a report was taken. 

On 8/27/23, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning. 

On 8/27/23, at approximately 1:28 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation occurring on the 400 block of Gregory Street. The driver was released with a warning and a field contact report was completed. 

On 8/27/23, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning. 

On 8/27/23, officers were dispatched to a disturbance where two males were fighting. Officers located the parties and they advised that they were friends and were having a disagreement and got into a brief physical altercation. No charges pressed by either party. 

On 8/27/23, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a physical disturbance. Officers contacted the female victim in the case who reported her husband had hit her. The officers later located the husband and arrested him on domestic violence charges. He was booked into the Gilpin County Jail. 

On 8/27/23, at approximately 3:12 a.m., officers were on a disturbance call at the Monarch Casino when Monarch security notified officers that a disturbance was in progress at the 24/7 restaurant. Officers responded and contacted the parties. Officers determined that there were no charges on this incident. 

On 08/27/23, officers were dispatched to the Dakota Lot on a report of a male party who had been trespassed and was back on the property. Officers contacted the male in the parking lot and issued a summons for trespass. The male was then released. 

On 8/27/23, an officer received a phone report of a stolen wallet from the Ameristar Casino. A report was taken. 

On 8/27/23, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a lost cell phone. The cell phone was later recovered by the owner after someone turned it into casino staff. 

On 8/27/23, at approximately 11:30 a.m., an officer was advised of a stolen U Haul at Bally's parking garage. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Denver. The vehicle was towed by U haul's recovery team. 

On 8/27/23, at approximately 8:49 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a lost wedding ring in the men's restroom. 

On 8/27/23, officers responded to an intoxicated female party at the Monarch Casino. Female was too intoxicated to be left by herself and no sober party was available to assist. The party was later transported to Lutheran MC for a detox hold. 

On 8/28/23, at approximately 5:05 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an assault. Upon officer's arrival, and after investigations, it was discovered that domestic violence had occurred. One male party was later arrested. 

On 8/28/23, an officer took a phone report of harassment that occurred to an employee of the Monarch Casino while she was on shift. 

On 8/28/23, at approximately 4:49 p.m., an officer took a phone report from a casino patron who stayed the night at the Ameristar Casino Hotel. The patron stated he left his watch in the room of the hotel when he checked out, and his watch had not been turned in to lost and found. 

On 8/28/23, officers responded to the Peak to Peak convenience store at 7320 Black Hawk Boulevard on a report of a burglary at 401 Chase Street. Officers are still investigating this incident. 

On 8/28/23, at approximately 9:51 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers were dispatched to Dakota Parking Lot located at 245 Main Street on a motorist assist call. Upon arrival, an officer contacted the registered owner of the vehicle, and received their consent in assisting him with jumping his 1999 Toyota Corolla. Officer cleared with an FI. 

On 8/29/23, at approximately 3:08 a.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a trespass. Prior to this call, an officer received a call from Bally's North Casino on a trespass in regard to the same trespass party. Officers later made contact with the trespassed party and issued him citations for trespassing on Lodge and Bally's properties. 

On 8/29/23, at approximately 3:14 a.m., officers responded to Monarch Casino on the report of a trespassed male sitting in the 24/7 diner. Male was contacted and cited with trespassing and theft generally for failing to pay his bill at the restaurant. 

On 8/29/23, an officer received a phone report of a fraud incident, at the Lodge Casino. A report was taken. 

On 8/29/23, at approximately 6:13 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of lost money. Surveillance was unable to determine where the money was lost. 

On 8/29/23, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers were dispatched to Bally's North on the report of found property containing non-negotiable items and credit cards belonging to several different parties. Officers recovered the property, filed a police report, and booked the property into evidence. 

On 8/29/23, at approximately 10:11 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on Black Hawk Street and Highway 119 for a red light violation. The party was given a warning and released. 

On 8/30/23, officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the Lady Luck Casino parking garage. A male and female were contacted. The female party was found to be trespassing on the property. She was issued a summons and the parties were released. 

On 8/30/23, at approximately 7:41 a.m., officers responded to the area of the Lodge Casino on a report of an assault. Both parties refused to press charges. 

On 8/30/23, an officer was dispatched to a report of a dog attack that occurred in front of the Horseshoe Casino. An officer learned that a lady was knocked down by another dog that was aggressive. No one was bitten by the dog. 

On 8/30/23, at approximately 1 p.m., an officer took a lost property report from a city employee. 

On 8/30/23, at approximately 6:24 p.m., officers responded to the 7300 block of Black Hawk Boulevard to contact a subject who advised they had a warrant they wanted to take care of. The subject was identified and transported on the outstanding warrant. 

On 8/30/23, at approximately 11:54 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation occurring at Gregory Street and Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and officers cleared on a field interview report. 

On 8/31/23, at approximately 12:09 a.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8. The vehicle fled the traffic stop and follow-up investigation by officers uncovered suspicious activity previously occurring at the Lodge Casino by the driver and passenger of the vehicle. An information report was completed. 

On 8/31/23, at approximately 7:01 p.m., officers responded to a REDDI report and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation occurring on Main Street and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and officers cleared with a field interview report. 

On 8/31/23, at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino for a request by deputies to investigate a suspicious circumstance. Officers seized an ID card presented by a subject and cleared with a report. 

On 8/31/23, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 200 block of Gregory Street. Officers contacted the driver and released them on a verbal warning.
