Name of show: Vision of Beauty Artist bio Kaylie Hall gains inspiration in what Mother Nature wants to provide. She is a creative. She is an artist. She has been a professional graphic designer for over 37 years. She has also taught graphic design at universities and colleges since 2003. Ever since the age of 5, anything 'art' has been a driving force. While she dabbles in acrylics, pastels, and upcycled furniture, her favorite medium is watercolor. Her images are meant to create a connection that will be unique to each viewer. Artist Statement My name is Kaylie Hall and I am a Creative (yes, creative is a noun). I want and need to celebrate nature through watercolor. In quieting the cacophony of the mind and being in a moment inspired by what Mother Nature dishes out. I want to allure and honor, create a bond with, and evoke a personal emotional response to the image seen. The brush strokes are meant to create a connection that would be unique to the viewer. The eyes are the favorite subject matter - the window to one's soul and a true vision of beauty. Although a seemingly trite statement, the eyes have it. Watercolor dries fast - truth. It forces you to be in a moment. Kind of like if you blink, you could miss something brilliant. I want to capture and then move on. What a viewer see's and the story it tells - the intricacies and details the naked eye finds peace in - tree trunk crags, brilliant sunlight, macro details of a flower, the brilliance and reflection in a creature's eyes as it moves through life and all its unique beauty. Experience the moment with the eyes. Blink and it's gone. The process is about capturing a snapshot in time... just like life.
