The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office issued two arrest warrants for the early-morning drive-by shooting which took place May 13 on Flagstaff Road, in unincorporated Boulder County, after conducting a search warrant at a residence in unincorporated Adams County, near the intersection of Highway 36 and N. Pecos St. Detectives also impounded multiple vehicles involved in the crimes and are continuing to interview witnesses.
The victims had been shot by a passing vehicle while standing outside their parked vehicle at the Crown Rock Trailhead, a City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks property. The victims in the shooting were a 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old male. The 17-year-old victim sustained a serious injury to his leg that required surgery at a local emergency medical facility. The 18-year-old victim had a minor injury and was treated and released.

Additional charges will be filed in the near future, as there were multiple people present during the shooting.
