Josh Henderson is no stranger to the Estes Park and Allenspark communities. For eight years, he owned The Redstone Restaurant in Estes Park, which led to the very first approved food truck in the town.
His experiences in the restaurant industry have inspired him to open a new restaurant in Ferncliff. The Grill Guy: A Burger Bar and More… is setting up shop where Allenspark’s Cliff Side Tacos used to be.
The Grill Guy will offer hot sandwiches and soups and salads. Aside from beef or elk burgers, a black bean burger will also be on the menu. Other items include pulled pork, roasted turkey, and a kids’ menu.
Most of the food will be made fresh in-house. Burgers and steaks will be cooked on an outdoor grill, made to order. A topping bar will also be available for those selective eaters, so they can pick and choose how to build their own burger.
A new seating bar and outdoor seating will be part of the charm at the new burger joint, but you’ll have to wait a couple more weeks before venturing into Ferncliff for some mouth-watering homemade burgers.
Henderson hopes for an opening sometime around Father’s Day.
The Grill Guy: A Burger Bar and More… is located at 30 Main Street, Suite C, Allenspark.
