On January 2, 2024, Deputy Hameed went above and beyond the call of duty to help a struggling citizen, who because of circumstances, was in dire straits, and in need of basic necessities. Deputy Hameed not only transported the citizen to a safe location, and made sure they were safe, but he also bought the person groceries from his personal funds so they would be able to eat for a few days until they could get help.
In today’s society, we often only hear the negative stories of law enforcement activities. I want to shed light on the wonderful work that our deputies do day in and day out that never really gets recognized. I am honored to have such generous, kind, dedicated, and caring men and women serving this county and this office.
Thank you, Deputy Hameed! You were a beacon of light in an otherwise dark situation. Well done!
