COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER I or II (Emergency 911 Dispatcher), City of Black Hawk Hiring Range: $53,792 – $64,954 (paid hourly), DOQ/E. Under the direction of the Communications Supervisor, responsible for the operation of the emergency communications console, including the receipt of calls and proper dispatch of appropriate equipment and personnel to assist the citizens and visitors of Black Hawk in the areas of Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services. Requirements: high school diploma or GED; valid Colorado driver’s license with a safe driving record; ability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, graves, weekends, and holidays. Applicant must successfully complete several pre-employment tests, including but not limited to typing, mathematical and multi-tasking skills, psychological exam, physical exam, drug testing, and background investigation as conditions of employment.
