A groundbreaking new art exhibition, Lotus and Lion: An International Exhibition of Contemporary Buddhist and Hindu Art, will open at Shoshoni Yoga Retreat in Rollinsville, CO, on May 23rd, 2025. This juried exhibition celebrates a diverse and dynamic collection of sacred art inspired by the rich traditions of Buddhism and Hinduism, while exploring their contemporary applications. Showcasing 45 artists from across the globe, this unprecedented international exhibition features original paintings, sculptures, printmaking, thangkas, mixed media, and more. Lotus and Lion offers a rare opportunity to celebrate art that draws from ancient spiritual traditions through a modern lens-revealing how the sacred continues to inspire, shape identities, foster resilience and transformation, and navigate the tensions of contemporary existence. This exhibition seeks to showcase how Buddhist and Hindu spiritual themes are being reimagined and manifested in the West today. The gorgeous mountain setting and scenery at Shoshoni Yoga Retreat offers the perfect backdrop for this show! This exhibition will run from May 23rd- September 2nd, 2025, with an opening reception on May 23rd from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
