When the Caribou Room opened in February of 2016, the town of Nederland was more than ready for it. Music lovers in the town had waited since performances at the old Acoustic Coffeehouse and the PI for a music space actually created for music and musicians. Finally, Peter Fiori answered that call, and the town has been celebrating since.
What enabled this transformative experience for Nederland? “Musicians inspire me, Fiori says. “I’ve been working in the event, music production and concert industries for 40 years.” So, when he decided to create the Caribou Room, he brought all his love and experience to the effort.
“We are an all service event facility, production house, recording studio and concert hall,” he says proudly. “We have the very best employees in Colorado and have the best sound in Colorado. We offer high-end multi-track recording for any performance on stage. Our extensive microphone and preamp collection rivals any recording studio in the country.”
The markets that are currently served by the Caribou Room include concert production, professional audio multi-track recording and production, private and public events.
Serving Boulder County and the surrounding Foothills area, “we are proud to offer a unique and wonderful musical experience to musicians and fans alike…. My personal favorite part is connecting musicians with people and bringing culture to the community.”
The Caribou Room was never small, but now it boasts 19 employees.
With business sure to improve now that the terrors of Covid seem to be decreasing, Fiori looks to the future and says: “I have no idea how I got here but I’m grateful as hell.”
The Caribou Room is located at 55 Indian Peaks Dr., Nederland. The venue’s website is www.thecaribouroom.com; they also have space on Facebook, Instagram, twitter, twitch and TikTok. You can reach them via email at email@example.com, and by phone at (303) 258-3637.
